Your proud group of employees (Corey, Greyson, Matt, Ryan), act-
ed with such professional work ethics when my old furnace fail-
ed me in the middle of winter. While older and not in the best of health, the fright of not having heat caused me great anxiety.
Crossfield's rapid response in installing a new furnace, exempli- fied the company's awareness of how vitally important the business is in helping others in time of need.

We hired Crossfield to reinsulate our two attic spaces. We had had terrible ice damming problems and wanted to start over from scratch. They removed all the existing insulation and 'baffled' the entire spaces and sealed up all down lighting and ventilation fans and sealed crawl space openings and did other stuff I can not explain. On-time and very neat and friendly workers. Could not be happier. Have used Crossfield for 25 years. Would not trust anyone else.

Sunday January 8,2023
Woke to no heat. After troubleshooting to no avail, I placed a call to our twenty+ year heating contractor, Crossfield, at 11: 32 AM. Imagine my dismay when a tech.named Jay returned my call and informed me that, due to the fact I did not have a Service Contract, he could not schedule a service call. Additionally he stated the company was not accepting new contracts or new customers. He said I could call the office on Monday. That's a pretty gruesome response for “24 hour service”.
According to Crossfield's Service manager Frank Chalk, “they were really busy” Sunday. He might be able to schedule me for Monday afternoon.
Seems I was expecting too much from Crossfield after spending more than $6000.00 with them over the years.
Called John Betlem Heating later that Sunday and was able to set up an appointment for Monday.
John Betlem arrived Monday early at 11: 15 AM and completed the service call in an hour.
Prompt, courteous and competent.

Jon/ Jose/ Joe did a perfect job. Eliminating all insulation from the Attic and adding baffles and new insulation. Everyting was On Time/Complete with Clean up. Worked very fast to complete job in one day. Dumpster removed next morning.
Highly reccomend Crossfield based on Price/ Employees/ and performing everything that we signed up for.

Are you people kidding me! We had a unit installed, called this morning (Monday) because our heat went out last night and our house was freezing! Because we didn’t have their plan, they told us that they couldn’t come service our furnace until Friday. We will NEVER deal with this company again for ANYTHING! Shame on your business and if you sold good equipment we shouldn’t have to have any kind of plan! My husband called Airquip and thankfully they will be here this afternoon! We now know who we will do business with. You all should be ashamed of yourselves and I don’t know how you stay in businesses!

Mark Stevens gave us information about a new furnace installation.he was thorough and professional and answered all our questions. Rob S.and Brian came to install the new Trane furnace. They did a terrific job installing the furnace, explained how the thermostat works, and left the area around the furnace very clean. They were courteous and very considerate. We are very pleased with the work they did. Bob & Terry R.

Our experience with Crossfield was exceptional. They replaced our furnace and air conditioning unit at a cost that was better than their competitors. Harry, Rob, and Mike who handled the installation were extremely professional, friendly, and made sure that everything was cleaned up before they left. Our sales consultant Mark Stevens was also extremely helpful. Overall great experience.

Such a great experience with the lead technician and new apprentice Jon & Jose.
Very knowledgeable and educated in their respective positions. Very neat, clean & left no mess as I have experienced with other companies. Look forward to the upcoming Furnace installation from Crossfield. Happy Holidays and sustained success.

Recently Crossfield installed a mini split for the entire house.   The installers Matt, Rob L, and their manager, Jason, have been, and continue to be, wonderful.   Unfortunately, the sales person fell extremely short and I did not recognize it until near the end of the process.

WHAT WENT WELL:

- Salesperson kept me on the list for a new unit without commitment (note that equipment was not available for ~6 months).

- Company was able to get a Mitsubishi mini split system when others could not due to supply issues.

- Installers did an excellent job of placement of the indoor units, running cables in the basement so they were inconspicuous, and cleaning up after themselves.

WHAT DID NOT GO WELL:

- The Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) was passed prior to the install and the salesperson had no idea how the IRA could impact costs (it's big).   It felt like I was educating him and still wonder if it would have been in my best interest to hold off until 2023.

- Salesperson lacked specifics about their offered financing option.   When asked if it was a credit or installment loan Salesperson said I could call the associated bank to get more information.    After I said the financing is linked on their website and that someone at their office should be able to clarify he did find out the requested information.   Note - it's a faux credit card and that will result in a huge / larger drop on one's credit score.

- Salesperson stated the COP of the mini split system is 3.6 to compare fuel costs of mini split vs gas furnace / boiler heat using the calculator on their site.   Higher the COP the better.   Using 3.6 shows that a mini split should almost always be used for heat given current utility pricing and regardless of weather.   What the sales person failed to state is that in the winter the COP will be closer to 1.92 - 2.5 and the winter months are still much more cost effective with gas heating.

- Prior to the install I called the salesperson to verify the placement of the outdoor compressors given that I have less room due to a generator on the side of the house.   He said they would fit in the desired space.   On the first day of install the installers mentioned that the compressors would not fit where requested.   Fortunately the installers took time to find an acceptable solution.

- Lastly the salesperson never followed up after the install to see how everything went and is going.   It's been two months.

CONCLUSION:

Crossfield costs significantly more than a mom and pop shop but their costs are in-line with other comparable sized HVAC businesses.   Their technical employees are highly qualified and in short I trust Crossfield's quality for installation and equipment service.    Unfortunately I'm very disappointed with the experience I had with the salesperson.

Rob from Crossfield installed a humidifier on our furnace. He did an outstanding job, he was punctual, kind and knowledgeable. His explanations were helpful. Highly recommend Crossfield as we use them for all our HVAC needs.

From the sales process to the installation, we had a wonderful experience with Crossfield. Jordan took the time to explain our different options and we felt confident with the decision we made. Matt, Ryan, Rob and Todd came soon after our purchase to complete the install. They were friendly and professional and made sure we were comfortable with our new system before they left.

I am a new customer to Crossfield and could not be more pleased. Their sales consultant, Jordan, was informative, patient with all questions, explained my best options for maximum efficiency in my condo, and there was no sales pressure. Pricing was in line with other systems I researched. The installation was done as scheduled. The installers, Eric H and Mike S, arrived on time, were courteous and very careful. Drop cloths were laid from my outdoor entrance throughout the path to the downstairs utility room. The old furnace and venting were removed from the premises without a trace. The new, two-stage Trane furnace, AprilAire humidifier and digital thermostat with second floor sensor were installed over an eight-hour time slot. When the job was completed, they went over the new furnace (gas shut-off, power switch, filter replacement, etc.), humidifier and digital thermostat and fielded my questions patiently. The Trane unit runs very quietly and the heat has been even on all levels thanks to the two-stage unit. First time ever that I didn't wake up to a cold bathroom upstairs! Additionally, I've noticed that the dust in the house has been significantly minimized thanks to the furnace's whole house air filter. They will be returning in the late spring to install a new AC unit for me, as well. From the sales to the installation, I definitely give Crossfield a five-star rating and would not hesitate to recommend them.

Jim and I cannot thank you and your team (our two install guys were awesome) enough for the “attic insulation/rerouted vent” work that was done. No more arctic air in the bathroom and closet! A ginormous difference and improvement!
And thanks to the humidifier installer lady for her terrific work. I feel the humidifier has significantly helped with better health and comfort levels!
Way to go Crossfield & Air Conditioning!

I would highly recommend Crossfield to anyone. Save your time shopping around, they are the absolute best!

We were recently in the market for a new heating and cooling system for our second floor bedrooms as our previous heating unit had reached its full life expectancy. I called Crossfield and could not have been more impressed from start to end. Mark Stevens (Sales) & Jason (Install Manager) came over to access our current system and understand our needs. They even performed a whole house balancing of our lower unit to ensure their recommendation would meet our needs. We decided on purchasing a heat pump. This was a great option as it would allow additional heating AND cooling for our upstairs. On the day of install, the team showed up on-time, including Mark and the Install Manager, Jason. Our installers were Rob Lavis & Rob Sandman. I could not be more impressed with their attention to detail and craftsmanship. The laid down canvas's to cover our flooring from our front door all the way up the stairs to the attic access, ensuring no mess. When done, they reviewed the system with me, reviewed how to use the thermostat, download the mobile app and answered any questions I had. Nothing compares to the service you get at Crossfield. They will be our new go-to for any of future HVAC needs. They now have a customer for life.

Crossfield installed a ductless heat pump system in my home. All of the staff I worked with were helpful, professional, and skilled-Mark, Matt, Ryan, and Eric. The process was as hassle-free as possible and I'm pleased with my heating system that is greener and making my home cozier too.

We had excellent service from Crossfield, as usual! From our salesman Mark, to our installers, Matt and Eric. Everyone was professional, friendly, clean, and completed the job on-time. We had 3 ductless systems added to our 100+ year old house. We have been using Crossfield for 15 years, we love them.
