Crunch Fitness - 38th Street reviews
16I called this location because signing up for the free pass online didn’t work. The employee who answered the phone wouldn’t let me speak and kept interrupting me. I think her name is Deandra.
They have a state of the art facility and state of the art trainers, but everything with them is very stressful. Why do I have to pay a big upfront initiation and annual fee instead of just a monthly fee? Can I just sign up for a gym without feeling like I'm buying a car?
Why do you have to incentivize me to buy all my training session upfront, or else I lose the new member discount, at which point the cost would double? Again, this makes the decision making very stressful. It is very annoying to interact with the folks working there who are very good at what they do, but always put you in these stressful situation.
I really recommend giving more ways for people to come for a 3-4 workouts and see if they like the gym, or do 4-5 training sessions before writing a check for $2,000.
Not forcing the customer to make these big commitments would be a sign that you are confident on the quality of your offerings.
The layout is a little bizarre. BUT, I have never seen a chain gym with a 64kg kettlebell. Total win!
Omg I definitely recommend Jordan he’s amazing personal trainer. He’ll motivate you like no other, if you need someone to push you he’s the one!
One star for charging 35$ for a day pass guess I won’t be trying this gym out. Website says inclusive but if let if your New York resident of not you’ll pay out the nose for a day pass
Great gym: really spacious with three floors, tons of equipment, sauna and great classes. Lovely staff, kept extremely clean and the third floor has a nice view of the street. Definitely check this place out if you’re looking for a fantastic place to work out in NYC
Can get quite busy at times, but is good to go on off hours. I've been between 2 pm and 4pm and it was pretty nice. The trainer I workout with is one of the better ones I have had both inside and outside of gyms.
It's pretty much a standard gym, the only thing that make it better than the rest is the SWERVE bike classes. The class competition keeps it fresh!
Go somewhere where they care about their protected group employees gross morals and legal negligence from Jordan
Fairly quiet, clean, and has everything you would want in a gym in terms of equipment.
Also the staff (in particular Ronald) has been very helpful in answering membership questions and accommodating to what I needed.
They are trying to make you pay even one year after that you cancel the membership. Is annoying they send a lot of emails and messages
Very nice gym. I didn't really use the locker room, but plenty of space and a good variety of equipment on the training floors. I got a free 3-day pass when in town for work. Went from 6-7am. Will be back in two days.
Best gym experience I’ve ever had. Ronald was helpful and made me feel welcomed from the moment I walked in. Great place to workout.
Nice gym, but no atmosphere that makes you want to push yourself to a great workout. It's not busy enough to stimulate. Also, the layout is not conducive to the promotion of an excellent experience.
Great gym in a convenient location. Everything you need for an awesome workout. Ronnie and the team were really helpful. Would highly recommend
I was looking to join a gym since I had just moved to NYC. I definitely had the best experience with Crunch by far. Ronald was very helpful at the front desk and made sure I got the best possible enrollment plan. I worked out with the fitness manager, Jordan, and he was amazing. He was clearly very knowledgeable about what’s best for body (both working out and nutrition wise), motivated me throughout the workout and made working out an enjoyable and worthwhile experience.
