Curtis Lumber Co Inc, Delmar NY

Worked with Emile on a deck design over the winter. Due to some unforeseen circumstances we had to modify the design a few times. Each end every time Emile and staff were professional and courteous. I could not speak more highly of the team at Curtis Lumber.

I went in looking for information on bathroom vanity’s,
I was in there for 15 minutes looking at the countertops and vanity’s and not one person came over to help me. The guys at the front desk just talked among themselves and the girls in the bath kitchen area sat in their office on the computer as. Walked past their office door 10 times.

There's the world that I want to live in, and then there's a world that I actually live in. I recently built a small project at my house, a few thousand in materials. It was recommended to me by my carpenter that all materials be ordered from Curtis Lumber. In my mind, since I sent the architectural drawings and had lengthy phone conversations with Curtis Lumber, and then had a few conversations over phone and email, I would have a single delivery of everything I need. In reality, some of the lumber delivered was warped and unusable, some of the items were delayed due to covid, some of the items never came because they weren't on the quote, and I didn't catch it. If something had to be exchange/purchased, most items had to come from Ballston Spa location, since the Delmar location has limited stock. There were many trips to Ballston Spa, and many pickups/drop-offs by Curtis Lumber at my house. The reason for five stars is because unlike working with a large corporation, such as Lowes or Home Depot, they actually pick up the phone here when you call, and they're able to see your order history, and everyone is very understanding and patient, and they stand behind their products. I can certainly see why my carpenter will only buy materials from here.

A great place to shop for any high quality building supplies. And, the knowledge, experience and friendliness of the employees can't be beat anywhere.

If you need lumber, do not waste your time at the big box stores. The quality of lumber here is superior.as you would expect from a professional lumber yard. Locally-owned and a personable staff that actually want to help you.

Walked in told them what I needed. Told me to talk to Kaitlyn she told me she would call me with all the info. At the other places you can't find anyone to even help you. Thanks Curtis Lumber your the best.

The Curtis Lumber staff are impressively helpful and very pleasant. They always help me find what I need and even cut lumber for me. (Don't tell anyone. That's probably not official policy!) I recommend them highly. Caring customer service is clearly a major part of corporate culture. What a contrast to the big home improvement stores!

Helpful Store Associates. I needed a transition between wood and tile floors. I was able to get nice Oak pieces 5 1/2"X1".

Always great working with Oakley! Just got windows installed! Would recommend and will continue to do business with Curtis Lumber.
