DO NOT USE THIS PHARMACY!

Stay aware from Regina in the pharmacy.

3 times over 2 days, I went to Regina for the same prescription. The first time I was told to come back in 45 min. Then I came the next day and told to come back in 15 min. Then I came back in 5 hours, and it was out of stock. Each time I went, I waited in a 20 min line. She then sent us to a different location that “had it in stock”. Once we got to the other location, they didn't have it in stock and told us that Regina didn't release the prescription, so even if they had it, they could not fulfill it. We then needed to go back once again to request the prescription to be released (as you can't call them) and buy it at a different location.

Regina has been extremely rude the whole time, treating me like it’s absurd that I need my medication. I recommend staying away from this pharmacy. Poorly run and treat your horribly when you just want your medication.

Many associates are great. But it only takes one disgruntled employee who wants to bring everyone down. It's time to give a wakeup call to this pharmacy, and especially the manager who was on duty. It's a tough job and everyone has to do their share! Yesterday, the pharmacy at this CVS store was in dire need of competent leadership. The manager on duty at this time was not fit for the job. In fact, he was capricious and cavalier. The normally long wait was further exacerbated by this mischief maker. At all times, pharmacists should keep in mind that their customers may be struggling with their health problems. I've done my share of waiting in the past, but have kept my composure because that's just the nature of New York. But yesterday, I was pushed to the limit by this manager. He was on the phone, obfuscated by his monitor, and had to be stridently cajoled to help with the large crowd of people patiently waiting for service. Many on line were complaining amongst themselves. I feel sorry for older customers the most (including myself!) Two complained to me yesterday while on line. Some associates may be making it easier on themselves when health insurance doesn't cover and other money saving althernatives are neglected.

Picking up prescriptions at my local CVS (First Ave and 15th St in Manhattan, NYC) has been a horrible experience. I believe I am experiencing PTSD symptoms from having to endure this process. The lines are always long, the clerks are stressed and always rude and abusive. My RX’s are often not ready (after I was notified they were ready for pickup). The co-pays are often incorrect often quoted hugely overcharged incorrect amount). I’ve witnessed physical fights between customers frustrated by the excessive wait times as well as screaming bouts between customers and CVS clerks and Pharmacists. All of the CVS clerks and Pharmacists should have to wait in line at CVS and pick up their own RX’s in order to experience themselves this horrible, traumatic, torturous experience.

Great staff here!
They are super busy but competent and friendly. Shakara is THE BEST pharmacy staff member I have experienced in any store.

CVS abuses their customers, especially the elderly and handicapped. Filling prescriptions is almost impossible and the pharmacy does not answer their phone. In the rare instance when someone does answer the phone, staff are rude and will claim "too busy" or “emergency” just to not spend any time helping the customer (same “emergency” excuse used several times - at 3 am?). I received a text 2 days ago to pick up a prescription, then another one for antibiotics sent by my doctor. I went to pick them up same day and was told both of my prescriptions had been returned. I had to wait almost another hour to get them finally filled, only because doctor wanted me on the antibiotics asap.

By abbreviating medication names in text messages that CVS sends to customers about their prescribed medications CVS only confuses their customers more
Dealing with the actual/ physical pharmacy is fine. The text messages with medication’s abbreviations and NO prescribers name makes it too confusing. Customers don’t necessarily know the actual prescription name but may be able to figure out if given the name of the medical provider. Because of this, customers accept medications they no longer want or need. The stores pharmacists and pharmacy employees
at CVS are well aware of this issue but CVS has done nothing to correct it. Multiple customers complain about the text messages daily.
I am leaving CVS to go to a different pharmacy. I will complain to my insurance company because I was forced to change my pharmacy from Walgreens to CVS.
Good Riddance CVS. I’m not waiting for you to correct the problems with text messages you send that so many customers have already complained about. Your pharmacist and pharmacy workers agree. CVS is negligent and deserves to loose the customers.

I have always found the staff at this CVS friendly, helpful and professional. Everyone I've had personal interactions with has been able to offer help directly or lead me to where I can get the help I need.
