Absolutely terrible! Let’s start with the stale bread. Next, I make far better pasta and sauce in my own kitchen. From the later sticker shock of being charged for regular water, to the bland pasta and sad old vibe- avoid this tourist trap! Had to heavily season the main dish in order to conjure up the slightest taste. Have enjoyed some of the best pasta eg. Umberto Menghi and this isn’t it folks. Save your $$$ and move along to something newer and better!

We've gone here for years whenever we visit Manhattan, but this visit will be our last. Years ago the food was amazing, but we noticed when we were here last the food and service had been going down some. This time it was really bad. The bread was dry and the entrees had hardly any flavor. Not sure what's changed but stay away.

Fantastic meal and ambiance in a tucked away, below street level space. The piano man was excellent and added to the experience. The manager and wait staff were awesome and very accommodating.
We enjoyed a bottle of wine, the chicken parmigiana and mushrooms ravioli.

I know restaurants are generally excellent in NYC, otherwise they go out of business. But this little gem exceeded my expectations. I was blown away. I had their "signature special, " chocolate-infused fettuccini with shrimp. It was so good I kept scraping the plate with my spoon. My wife had the steak, and my daughter had ravioli with asparagus and mushrooms in a light cream sauce. I don't think it said the ravioli were homemade on the menu, but they had to be. I had some and they were amazing. We finished with tiramisu which might have been the best I've ever had in my life.

Food took long and it didn’t taste good. I asked for vegetables instead of pasta and they gave me a bowl of broccoli. Nit a good experience.

We called at 6 on a Friday and Tom got us right in. We were so happy when the server came and said, tell me what you want and the chef will meet your needs. Tom was hilarious, the pianist was entertaining. We highly recommend a visit when you come to NYC.

Favorite place to visit when in NY.
The food is amazing, great alcohol selection and atmosphere is perfect.
It’s never been extremely busy when I’ve visited, and occasionally has a piano player/singer. Great little hole in the wall.

The food was great and the service was superb! Easy to get to before or after going to the theater.

Had dinner and drinks with friends. The food was excellent and the wait staff was phenomenal.

Fan-freaking-tactic place! We were in the area to see a show and had some time to kill. As we walked by the live music was so good it literally pulled us inside. Once we were there, we decided to grab a couple drinks and dinner. The bartender Donna was absolutely phenomenal. She made great recommendations and was even nice enough to hold our food until intermission of the show when we returned she was actually doing a duet with one of the best musicians we’ve ever heard. The ambience, food and overall vibe of this place makes it my new favorite restaurant in New York City! If you’re in the area you must check this place out!
