Da Noi Italian Restaurant, Islip NY

A faux Italian restaurant. Asked for a carbonara and was served nothing remotely like an American or Lazio version. Nice atmosphere; I think that’s what attracts. Also the quality of food is very good it’s just not Italian. The hostess is pretentious at best and needs lessons in etiquette for sure. Been to this place twice and will never go back.

There are only a few places on Long Island where i go to that I feel like im "home" Where the food is on point, and the service is strong etc. Danoi is on that list. Always a winner!

Has become one of our favorite places. Food great, staff great. Waiters always go out of the way for us. We only make in a few times a year, but staff remembers us and treats us special.

This time not so good.
Seems the place is the price going up service going down.

We will find a new go to Italian restaurant.

Food was excellent. This is now our go to Italian restaurant. Service was fantastic. Old school Italian atmosphere. Some very unique selection. I highly recommend giving them a try. You won't be disappointed.

Amazing meal last night seated at the bar having great food and conversation with George and his family. Thanks for a wonderful dining experience- the food was spot on.

Would not recommend this restaurant for a single female.was made to feel very uncomfortable.apparently bar is only for reservations but seat next to me also didn’t have a reservation but he didn’t have any issues guess since he was a male.won’t ever go back

One of the worst meals I’ve had in a long time. We had 3 appetizers, 4 entrees, ordered a 5th entree to try to have something edible.ended up leaving to go somewhere else and make up for the meal

Consistently excellent food every time we’ve gone. Worth the price. Love the lamb chops and salmon in particular. Tasty desserts.

Great service great meal pasta was a little hard they took it back and re- did it it was perfect.

Food is awesome, however the hostess and bartender are miserable, the only thing wrong with the place are these two. They both exude an aura of misery and inhospitable-ness as if they don't want to be there or don't want you there. When I think of going there and bringing my wife or business associates or friends, I always opt not to because of the pussfaces on these staff members. It's a real shame.

Great service and fantastic food. Menu is very diverse which I really enjoyed. The ostrich was amazing! I will definitely be back. Would 100 percent reccomend.

Great Northern Italian food. Oysters as an appetizer delicious, topped with cheese. Lamb ravioli, also an appetizer was a bit bland. Rabbit was exceptional, roasted. Lamb chops delicious and a very generous portion, 4 large chops. Accommodated request to substitute starch with vegtable easily and the brussel sprouts in balsamic delicious and properly cooked, no woody stem. Elegant service, quite attentative. Worth a special visit

I love this restaurant. Usually the food is excellent. Had the duck, not so good. It was so overcooked I was chewing forever. The orange sauce was too bland. The serving size wasn't enough for a child as there were more bones then meat. The potatoes and string beans were very good and i loved the oysters appetizer. I guess the next time I go there (and I will go again) no duck.

We love everything about Da Noi - the hospitality, ambiance, and food are ALWAYS on point! Thank you for your hard work to create and maintain a place that many of us locals call a second home ️
