Dalsimer Spitz and Peck Florist, Valley Stream NY

Unfortunately, we did not have a good experience with this florist for my daughter's wedding. She was repeatedly cancelled for her final appointment the month before her wedding. They finally fit her in two weeks before the wedding and to our surprise the centerpieces were nothing like she discussed with Martin, the salesman, 8 months before. The colors were wrong (he had several pictures) and they were too big and hideous. Her vision was trees for most of the tables and then smaller centerpieces for a few of the tables. She spent the following week which was 4 days before the wedding while she was at work going back and forth with them and finally just settled on something. Fast forward to the day of the wedding and they deliver her and her bridesmaids bouquet which also had the wrong colors in them and looked nothing like the picture she sent them or what was discussed. They did send a floral designer to her hotel room who was very nice but at this point she was with the photographer and couldn't concentrate on the flowers. We were so aggravated. The second bouquet was worse than the first one but at this point they pulled out flowers from the first bouquet. Looking back through the pictures of her with the bouquet is such a disappointment. The guys who decorated her venue did a great job with what they were given.
Do yourself a favor and don't spend your money here if you don't want to be aggrivated the day of your wedding. Lack of caring was our biggest problem with them even after being assured everything would be fine.

Steven and his staff are fantastic. Easy to work with, patient, understanding, accommodating and professional. Their floral designs, ideas and suggestions were great. I could not have been happier with the services they provided.

John made our wedding the most spectacular wedding we could have ever asked for. The room was breathtaking, he went about and beyond a vendor. We first met with Robert at Dalsimer pretty early on in our wedding planning process as we had heard of Dalsimer from our venue and saw his work on instagram. From that first meeting, we immediately booked and looked no further for a florist and I could not be happier that we did. Mr. Bobby Holland has been such a Blessing to me in the process of planning my Wedding. Every floral detailed that I dreamed of for a girl's dream wedding, he had available to me. Their Floral Gallery alone is Beautiful enough to have a wedding ceremony at their location! LOL. However they will be displaying a Gorgeous Floral Decor formy Outside ceremony & reception for me at Bourne Mansion. Mr. Holland is now & forever my go to guy for all of my future occasions and most of all a Blessing to me to know that I now have a friend in him.

We had a wonderful experience using Dalsimer Spitz and Peck for our wedding! I'm not an expect on flowers by any means, but they were able to take the description and vision I had in my head and bring it to life! They took care of absolutely everything day of and I didn't have to worry about a thing.

I worked in retail customer service for 5 years and often with engaged couples creating their registries. If the couple and I did not get along - I was nice, happy, smiling, and accommodating. It’s their wedding in the end and who am I to argue? My family and I were recommended this florist. The experience my mom and sister experienced with the owner and son of this florist was horrific. They were rude, raising their voices, and condescending. If you do not like a clients vision and do not want it associated with your portfolio then you simply turn them away. You do not get angry or refuse to accommodate. If you choose to work with this florist, expect white and pink roses and quite literally nothing else beside attitude. I’d admit if my mom or sister were being difficult to work with but they were not and were allowing themselves to be treated poorly. So happy we have a new florist to work with for my sisters wedding at only a months notice!

We used dalsimer for our wedding in June. Originally met with Bobby who immediately sold us with his charm and portfolio. We had a good budget to work with and I explained my vision. It was a garden theme and we additionally needed a chuppah. I didn't want any hydrangeas, explained that I didn't want balloon drapery on the chuppah, wanted florals cascading down the sides of the chuppah, and provided a handful of inspo pics. He said he understood and could deliver. The final $ came out to a little higher than we would have liked but we felt confident they would deliver and decided to go for it. We went to see the sample centerpiece and agreed to some changes. But I felt a bit rushed that day and ultimately came back to discuss final arrangements, the bouquet, and provided even more inspo pics. Did not meet with Bobby that day, unfortunately can't remember the name of the man I spoke to that day. After seeing the sample bouquet, I felt pretty good that they would deliver because it was exactly what I had wanted. Too bad that's the only thing that was actually delivered as promised.

The floral arrangements looked extremely different from the sample centerpiece and not with the changes discussed. All centerpieces had hydrangeas and while I understand it's a filler floral and most arrangements use them, when you pay a company a significant amount of money to perform a service, you expect them to fully perform and take note of their clients' requests. The chuppah had balloon drapery and no cascading florals, as if the inspo pictures were just ignored. At that point, there really weren't many changes that could be done before guests arrived so we accepted it and decided to reach out to Bobby during the following week. We did and after explaining the problems, he stated that his men did 1 extra centerpiece (a decision they made on their own - we decided a kids table centerpiece and they repurposed it elsewhere without consulting us prior, creating a full sized centerpiece for the kids table) that he was generously not charging us for and that everything else was as discussed. I felt so disappointed and that money was just wasted. He apologized and said "Next time there's any event, call me. I owe you a flavor. " Yes. Flavor, not favor. And repeated that he owed me a "flavor" a few more times before the call ended. I'm not sure how this happens since most feedback is pretty good. I guess Bobby's just a sweet talker and simply couldn't deliver.

We used DSP for our daughter's wedding at the Crystal Plaza on October 22,2022. Thank you to John and his team for a wonderful experience. Everything was perfect and absolutely beautiful!

John and the Dalsimer team were a pleasure to work with. They were very professional and accessible during the planning process, and were very accommodating to all of our requests. They did an amazing job setting up prior to the event, and it really transformed the venue. We would recommend Dalsimer to anyone!
