Love the variety of crafts supplies (and other stuff) here that they dont carry anywhere else in rochester.few years ago i bought what the staff and i thought was the correct clock mechanism for my favorite clock.i brought back the innards AND the clock and the woman there helped me find the exact size i needed.so nice and helpful.excellent customer service.i just wish they carried candle making supplies.

Dan's crafts is open with shields between customers and staff. The remote control area still has the counter with multiple people working it, So getting vehicles and replacement parts is as easy as ever. Their staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and very helpful. They helped my son get the parts he needed to repair his truck with a few quick questions. Boxes on the floor indicate separation distances while standing in line to check out. Inventory was as full as you can expect a week after Christmas.

One of my local go-to places for model railroad stuff.

If there's something you need for whatever hobby you have, they probably have it (or they'll order it for you).

Dan's Craft & Things one of the last small local businesses focused on hobby toys and crafts. If you are into planes trains and automobiles browse there while wifey spends time in the craft part of the store.
Highly reccomend them always helpful!

Good selection and fair prices!

Lots of specialty items. My husband was able to find a nicer woodburning kit than the one he had ordered on Amazon, and has really gotten into the craft. We even found a wooden sketchbook briefcase that will be perfect for a D&D/Dungeon Master box and he plans to woodburn that, too. Plenty of options here.

They've got a large mishmash of craft and hobby supplies - everything from model making kits and supplies, dollhouse miniatures, oneedlepoint, beading, kids toys etc. They also have specialized supplies, such as dyes and supplies for pysanky.

Worth knowing about!

Store is decent. Huge selection of craft supplies. I mainly go for the RC stuff. Sometimes prices are a little high but it’s a good store.

They have everything you need for RC cars I like the Traxxas me and my son both have one it's crazy what the electric can do now he can be my Nitro car and less maintenance I will have to upgrade to Electric soon great spot for all your fun hobbies and toys

This place is awesome to visit to find crafts RC cars and other cool and fun things to do. They've got crafts from very young kids up to adults.

Great people with knowledge of their store. I needed a paint pen for my granddaughters cozy coupe as the eyes had the color scratched. I told them what I needed and the outcome was fantastic! Thank you to the ladies who helped me make this happen!

It's a good store, they have any and all things you may need for hobbies practiced by many or absurd ones.

A wide selection of hard to find items for literally every creative hobby a person might have. Prices could be a little lower but it's not a big name store so I understand. Staff seem to know what they're talking about. Pretty convenient hours

Very knowledgeable staff. They have been helpful in informing many projects and purchases. We can get lost in there.
We make an annual stop when school is out to start our summer craft fun.

My Dad took me, I took my sons. Now I go with them and my granddaughter. 46 years of Estes Rockets, trains, doll houses, and RC. I love this place! Very helpful staff, they can answer just about any question you have.

A great place for the hobbyist in your life! I bought some various models to assemble and the missus got some various crafting items for her projects. Veteran pro tip: there is parking behind the store, backing out on to Empire Blvd is not for the faint of heart, I recommend the parking out back.

Bought a drone here. Took it home and tried it out for about 15 minutes. Did not like the way it handled. Wanted to return it, they said can't be returned if it has been flown. So you can't get the product and find out it isn't a good fit for you and return for something else. And this is why brick and mortar is losing to Amazon. Will never shop at Dan's again.

Updated with Response to Owner: Have a return policy. That is all you need. I buy something on Amazon I buy with confidence knowing I can return it if I need to. I bought an alternate drone with next day shipping on Amazon and it was a great drone. Didn't need to return it. But I knew if it wasn't great that I could. I'll never shop at Dan's again, if I can't return something within 7 days then I'm not shopping there.

Easily the best spot for modelers in the Rochester area. Tons of RC, car and military models, as well as the best Gundam selection in upstate NY.
