Daryl Roth Theatre reviews
15Saw Titanique here and it was fun! The sound was a bit too loud for me, but it was not a big deal
Saw "Titanique. " Do not miss this musical! The cast is hilarious and they all have fantastic voices! There's a nice lounge downstairs where you can have drink and chat before the show.
We saw the show titanic. Omg was it amazing, and funny as hell. I can't wait to see it again.
I purchased three tickets a week and a half in advance for my sister's 30th birthday. The day of the show, I received a notification from my credit card alerting me I received a full refund from the Daryl Roth Theatre; I checked my email but saw no notice of cancellation from the theater. Upon calling the box office when they opened, I was informed that my showtime was cancelled; I was told the notice may have gone to my spam folder, but didn't see any such email there. Very disappointed because I had gotten great tickets (middle of the row, towards the front of the theater), and had traveled to purchase in person to avoid online fees. My options were 1) go back in person to purchase rush tickets (admittedly cheaper, but available seats were worse - towards the back and aisle) or 2) wait a week or two to see the show so I could get tickets just as good as the original ones I bought.
Saw the Hyprov show there. Ok theater. Bathroom not easily accessible. You would have to go downstairs.
Leaving show with mixed emotions. Great platform for those interested in gaining experience in stage theater performance. Its literally a Broadway show off of Broadway. The comedy part of the show (Barrett Foa) was entertaining- but cheesy (shills in the crowd did no justice) but the hypnosis (Asad Mecci) could have been more convincing (could use more theatrics) all “volunteers” succumbed to hypnosis within 5-6 minutes.
On a side note - Promoters of the show Should advertise about the use of led lighting which could trigger symptoms of those in attendance who may have a sensitivity to such lights. Overall experience was okay.
Saw Hyprov here tonight! Had an absolute blast! The theatre space is super comfortable and versatile, the lounge downstairs was great too!
20 sided tavern was a fun show and pretty inexpensive. Definitely worth seeing, definitely worth seeing more than once cuz the show changes
I visited Daryl Roth Theatre on a Saturday night at 8 pm for the "Is There Still Sex in the City" play by Candace Bushnell. She is the writer of the hit Sex and the City. In the show, she tells her personal stories of love, relationships, and the relationship rules that she learned from her life. It was a spacious venue with a comedic show and I enjoyed it.
I did notice most of the audience were women than men. It was quite witty, entertaining, and amusing. I would recommend this great show!
I saw a wonderful 1-femme show there by Candace Bushnell of Sex&theCity fame. Nice lil bar space downstairs. Bathroom down there too. Stairs tight & steep. Boxoffice staff very nice. Ushers not so much. Bar&merch peeps very cool. Bar area has tables and chairs for earlybirds.
BEAUTIFUL downtown theatre to see any show. Convenient to Union Square and the subway with a Starbucks and Panera across the street for coffee before or after the show.
Had a wonderful rehearsal of Goddess which will be premiered at Berkeley Rep in Feb 2022. Address was a bit confusing.
Great job presenting Blindness in tough conditions. Really good building for this type of production.
Staff was amazing at delivering clear instructions not only with regards to the show itself but also that of their public health policy.
This Review is for "Blindness" but also for my experience at the theater yesterday.
The show: waste of time and money. It's literally a dark room with a few lighting tricks and you just paid 40 plus dollars to listen to an audio book.no actors, no stage, nothing for your money.
The experience: was denied use of the restroom a few minutes before the show started and then at then end when I politely asked again, I was told to go use the bathroom in the park or at another business. Horrible way to treat a patron who you just ripped off.
