David's Bridal, Rochester NY

I was moderately concerned about having a good experience since I am plus size (16 street clothes, gowns 20). I had also read a lot of reviews of David's (not this particular store but in general) of plus brides who sadly did not have great experiences. CJ was the associate who helped me, and she was AMAZING and the biggest reason for the 5 star rating. I was able to find a dress (on sale!) that I loved. Thanks again CJ, it really was such a great experience thanks to you!

Went to David's bridal to casually look at styles of dresses for my wedding meet year. Ended up buying THE PERFECT DRESS in a half hour. Loved the employees and especially Taylor. So happy

I got my alterations done for my wedding dress by Oli, and it was a a wonderful expirence. She is the sweetest person and so knowledgeable. When I picked up my finished dress today, she made sure to explain in detail how to put it on and work with the bustle. I 100% recommend getting alterations done here, I'm glad i did

Not impressed with the customer service as we arrived. The bride didn't make a reservation for us on a Sunday. And I understand that they were very busy. We were looking specifically for bridesmaids dresses. After 20 minutes a young lady approached us and offered her assistance (I apologize I forgot her name). All the dresses we found online were not available in the store and would not arrive in time for alterations. (Rushed wedding). So this young lady found me a beautiful key hole dark blue dress. Fit perfectly except for the length. When we purchased, we asked to set up for the alterations we were and were told that there were no appointments available until the last week in September and it wouldn't be finished in time for the wedding. Asked for recommendations for alternative places and were told to go to Jefferson dry cleaners which was closed that day and their hours did not work with me schedule. Thankfully my daughter recommended a stitch in time. Joanne was wonderful and got me right in and I had the dress back in 2 weeks. Now onto David's bridals alteration's for the bride. Her experience was not the best and was told that she needed to learn how to wear a proper bra (she is 74 years old with many back issues so she needs to wear what is comfortable because of all her scaring and surgeries) and hoist the puppies to the right location. Thoroughly embarrassed her. The seamstress went up front and got a bra and had her put it on and then told her she needed to purchase it. Which she did not. That aside she tried to laugh it off. When she picked up the dress I asked why the lace on collar was not steamed and starched because it kept turning under on one side. To which it was stated it was steamed. The day of the wedding it seemed even worse. Thankfully we got her dressed at home and had an iron and starch. Literally a 2 minute fix and that couldn't have been addressed at the store before we left. And because she didn't purchase the bra and the dress wasn't altered to what she would be wearing it didn't fit right through the bust. Like I said just not pleased with the davids bridal total experience. Was not all that it is hyped up to be in my opinion.

Everyone at David’s was so kind and helpful during my visits to find a dress all the way through the alterations! The dress doctor made my dress perfect! Thank you so much!

The alterations manager went above and beyond my expectations after having a terrible experience with the sales girls on my first visit. I was very skeptical about having my dress altered with David's Bridal but I am glad I did! I did reach out about my bad experience and I was very impressed how quickly they responded and corrected the issue and honestly cared about making it right. I will definitely recommend David's bridal to my friends:)

It's wedding season and I needed a very specific style and color dress, david's bridal is fully prepared with so many dresses to try on and order. I had to order my dress and it came fairly quickly

The alterations department was a delight to work with. They worked quickly, gave me so much confidence, and made a normal alteration appointment fun! I would highly recommend.

Truth. Got cheated and scammed!
Felt rushed through the appointment. Sales consultant didn’t help get me into or out of the dresses. She wasn’t concerned with dresses I had saved and wanted to try on. I was limited to 4 dresses. I had to have a family member zipper the dresses.
Had to beg to try a dress on that my family member found for me.
I began crying when I saw myself in it. I folded the tissue and put it into the sample dress pocket.

We ordered the dress.
Imagine my surprise when the dress came in 2.5 weeks later the day my slip arrived.
The day before my fitting I tried the dress on at home. And found the tissue in the pocket. My tissue. I know because I’ve folded my tissues the same way since I was a little girl.
Anger filled me when I thought about how they tried to scam us. Charging us full price and trying to pass off the sample dress.
If they has called and told me they couldn’t find another dress in that style I would have taken the sample on a discount.
The fact that they never talked to me and lied and said it was a new dress was dishonest.
If they did this to me they would do it to anybody.
Only after a long discussion by my future mother-in-law with the manager did she offer us 25%. They ruined my dream of a new dress foe my wedding. The bottom line was 40% off.
But the point of this is they lied, cheated me out of a new dress for my wedding. And thought they would get away with it.
The alterations department is wonderful though. Especially Olimpiada and Kateryna! Kind ladies who did a wonderful job with the bustle and hem. They made an awful experience buying a dress somewhat better.

Do not go to davids bridal in Rochester! I wish I could speak to somebody in corporate! Do they do this to everybody? I wouldn’t doubt it! I will be posting all over social media about this and hopefully discouraging other brides from going there. Let’s see pay full price and we will give you the sample that other women have tried on again and again. Cheated and feeling like I had no choice!

I had the most wonderful experience with the alterations department. Katarina did an amazing job and made sure to make the process smooth and enjoyable. I would recommend this location for alterations to anyone! They went above and beyond on a very short notice to make my day less stressful. Thank you again!

Went in David's Bridal to look at wedding dresses with a friend, just starting to get an idea of what I want in a dress. Knew they didn't have appointments available. Salesperson/greeter was very abrupt. Explained multiple times in an increasingly rude fashion they didn't have appointments available (which we knew and understood) and 4 times that the weddings dresses were to the right (we could see and thanked her but she kept explaining). Seemed annoyed when I asked if they sold Rebecca Ingram dresses. They do not. Overall an awkward and uncomfortable experience. Did not see any dresses that I would choose for myself. Was let down with bridesmaid dress selection. I've been to different David's Bridals before starting a serious search for my own dress and in past searches for family members dresses/bridesmaid dresses and the salespeople had been much more professional and kind. My fiancée (we are both women) will also be looking for a dress and we have discussed avoiding David's Bridal in her search as well.

Awesome! There were so many selections CJ was awesome! She made me feel comfortable and let me make my own decisions.she even gave me some advice that was just so pure and loving! We were there for 2 hours god bless her i know she was tired because i know i was when i left with just all the selections and decisions!

The lady that greeted us at the door was very kind and very pleasant! We just wanted to look around at bridesmaids dresses and she was totally understanding and told us when we were ready we could use a dressing room to try things on! After we had decided on the dresses, the same lady checked us out and was so amazing through the whole transaction! It was such a pleasant experience for us and we absolutely appreciated al the time we were given!

CJ was absolutely incredible! She made me feel beautiful and helped me find the perfect dress for my wedding day! Amazing experience all in all!

Can not say enough good things about the alterations department at the Henrietta location in Rochester New York. They have absolutely exceeded my expectations thus far and can not wait to see the final result!

I came here in February 2021 to look for a wedding dress. Deb was my consultant and helped me come up with so many great options based on a Pinterest board I shared with her! I ended up saying yes to a dress I never would have thought about trying on, thanks to her creative ideas and encouragement to step out of the box.

Fast forward to September 2021, and I had another great experience with Oli and Kateryna when I went in for alterations. Oli was truly knowledgeable and have great advice throughout the alteration process, and Kateryna was extremely helpful in getting me into/out of my dress and processing everything for me. Overall, I’m very happy with the service I’ve been provided every time I’ve come here!
