I've been here twice and have been extremely pleased. They take their COVID protocols seriously for starters, everyone was masked. I felt safe as soon as I walked in, not always the case with the way mandates are changing.

The Dr. I saw both times was fabulous, can't remember her name. She is very patient and takes her time explaining. She made some suggestions for my prescription that worked out very well, she's smart and understands people. Being new to prescription glasses; she took her time telling me how to get use to them, what to do and what not to do.

The staff are also very friendly and helpful, not at all what I expected at a franchise this size. I have likely been seeing their "A" team since I end up there during regular hours. My experience has been great, can't say enough.

Antiquated process for regular strength glasses. My glasses will not be ready until two weeks. They send the glasses out now.

I booked my appointment online. No issues. There was a 5 minute wait until someone greeted me. They reviewed my information and checked me in quickly. Andrew helped me process my insurance even when I was having issues pulling up the information. Then Cassandra did my pre-exams and she was very warm, kind, and explained how everything was going to work before we did each exam. She was excellent. When I did the exam through the video conferencing it went smoothly and my prescription was confirmed. Then they processed my prescription and reviewed any concerns. Andrew ordered my contacts for me with no issues. There wasn't any pressure to buy anything I did not want. I had an excellent experience and I recommend this Visionworks location.

I made an appointment online for a 1pm eye exam. I show up prompt as the confirmation email asked. Everyone in the front is very pleasant and I am taken back pretty quickly to complete the first part of the exam. Then I wait 40 minutes to see the optometrist, they were a bit behind. No problem. When I get in the chair the optometrist tries to up sell me on "pictures", like when jiffy lube tries to get you to buy a new air filter. I decline and she then proceeds to tell me in that case she can't do the dilation and I will have to come back for this part. I ask why? She says, "I am behind, that's why you had to wait. " So let me get this straight, I had to wait because you are behind and then you are going to ask me to come back at another time to finish my exam? Oh but if I want the "pictures" I don't have to get dilated and she has all the time in the world for that? I had to walk out. To think I spent $300 plus dollars there last year on super duper lenses and that is how I am treated. If you want a jiffy lube experience with an optometrist that values her time, but not yours.this is the place for you. Have at it!

I visited the West Nyack store on 12/30/21.
Had to get some progressive bifocals.
Pleasant experience dealing with Cassandra and Melissa.
Both were very professional and made me feel very comfortable.

Picking up order the young lady don’t now what
Is customer service is
Upon asking if cleaning cloth said we ran out
How come, they don’t ran out while charging lbig price for glasss
Will go to costco or BJs next time. Don’t
Need beg for $2 cleaning cloth.

Poor ser service, they profile before they offer you quality service. I just tried for second time but they failed to offer me the service, I showed up with prescription on hand but they blew it out.

This is RIDICULOUS! Talk about having CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT written all over it! I ordered my glasses OVER A MONTH AGO. I understand a flood but I've gone by there 2x since. NO DAMAGE & THEY ARE OPEN AS THE WEBSITE SAYS. But they will NOT talk to you! They claim to have shipped your glasses but they have no details! Not even a shipping METHOD! I had to spend $500 to get glasses elsewhere because Ive been waiting so long & needed them. This whole place is a SCAM

I guess appointment times are just a suggestion. Every time I have come here I have to wait over 50 minutes to be seen. Will be looking for a new place going forward. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. The Dr is pleasant, only reason I gave it two stars.

Came to get my glasses since they called me to pick up. Arrived and they are closed do to flooding from last week. ‍️ Guess they couldn’t put it on a website and warn their loyal customers? ! FYI l: They left no note indicating when to come back. So good luck if you already purchased your glasses from this place.

Have had the worst experience ever, their web site showed that my prepaid order for 2 pair of eyeglasses which I made on September 1,2021 would be ready for pick up on September 15,2021. That was the date I was expecting to pick up, on that date the web site then said my order was not ready they had to continue working on my order. I tried to contact them for about 45 minutes finally they told me that their facility was damaged by flood and my order was not ready, meanwhile in all the time leading up to September 15th not one representative could take the time out to contact me with that update. My old glasses do not give me very clear vision and I was anticipating getting my new prescription. I could have made other arrangements to go elsewhere and this is my third set of glasses with this company. Terrible customer service! Well sometimes a story like this can have a positive ending. To update I just want to thank Davis Vision Works corporate for listening to me and responding in a very generous way 9/23/2021. I received a new pair of glasses very unexpectedly and extremely appreciated, I can actually see clearly now. It feels good to express my feelings on this incident that was due to unfortunate circumstances I can only say thank you again and again you sincerely made my day!

An eye exam could not be completed as required since the machine that checks the retina was out of order. The new table was being installed in the room while I was undergoing eye testing. Two-hour visit from arrival (at the exact time of visit) to departure. This is unacceptable particularly in times of Covid.
Doctor explained staff should schedule a time for me to return to have my retina checked. That did not happened since store was packed with clients and staff seemed overwhelmed. Also, staff tried to push me to stay away from my insurance plan and pay out of pocket for glasses using store's promotional coupon of buying one pair and getting other at 50%. Staff seemed confused and was unable to clearly explain what was covered by insurance and what wasn't. During the
process of having glass made, my questions were not clarified. Insurance informed something different from what the store staff claimed my insurance would cover.
Terrible service from beginning to end. This is the second time I have a negative experience at Davis Vision. I am taking my business elsewhere next time.

I ORDED TWO PAIRS OF GLASSES QUALITY IS NOT GOOD AND I WAITED TO LONG FOR THE ORDER TO ARRIVED, AND NOBODY GOT IN CONTACT WITH ME TO LET ME KNOW THE ORDER WAS READY. NOT HAPPY WITH THE SERVICE AND QUALITY.

If I could give more than 5 stars I would. I had a phenomenal experience with Renee as my son broke his glasses. She quickly took our temperatures, assessed the glasses, pulled up our account and replaced them in front of us. She fulfilled every commitment and noted that this would be a warranty replacement. We really could not have been treated better. Thank you Renee for a great experience!

Terrible spot. My wife and I made appointments for 4: 15 and 4: 45 respectively. We arrived a few minutes early and the man in the front told us that there were a few ppl in front of us and that we'd have a short wait. Which is not a big deal. At 5: 22pm when I asked how long it would be until my wife's 4: 15 appointment the gentleman at the customer service desk said he would check and let us know. I mentioned to him that it was 5: 22 and over an hour past our appointment and what the point of having one was. We watched 6 different ppl come in after us and be taken care of prior. At 5: 45 the gentleman at customer service told us we would be right in and had us move to the "on deck" seating located closer to the exam rooms and across from the managers office. Who was "NOT IN" supposedly. Then 10 minutes later they finally took my wife in for her 4: 15pm appointment. Essentially 2 hours later. The gentleman who scanned my wife's eyes then took her into an exam room to have a "telehealth" consultation. She didn't even ever get to see an actual dr. Then the same gentleman who ran the tests on my wife's eyes came back out to call me for mine. At 6: 15pm. I was not interested in allowing this SHAM of a company to have ANY more of my hard earned money than they already got with my wife's exam. I will be going elsewhere and I will be actively telling everyone I know how little DAVIS VISIONWORKS cares about your time or experience.
I left early from work to make this appointment and apparently appointments at DAVIS VISION WORKS don't mean anything. I lost out on money I could of made since the appointment was superfluous anyway. I will say that the man who actually ran the tests on my wife was very nice and extremely personable. He was the only person on staff to actually appear to care that our appointments were violently past due. I appreciated his effort and attitude in making me feel better. It did not work super well, but I would be lying if I didn't mention the real effort he made. He was the only staff member to seem to care about our experience. The other individuals in the store were rude, dismissive, and/or just ignored us for approximately 2 hours. Avoiding eye contact, continually giving one word responses and saying just a few more minutes or just one person in front of you. I need an eye exam and most likely glasses, but bc of my frustration, I refuse to allow DAVIS VISIONWORKS to have any single cent more from me. So please if you go, don't make an appt. Bc they will take care of you first if you just walk in. Also we didn't know going in that they don't actually have a single DR on site, they use "telehealth" "zoom" calls. So if you like actually seeing a DR, I recommend a different spot.if you have a respect for you own time, this is not the place for you.

What a place. I walked in there with an appointment and pretty much hit the time. After seeing like 5 or 6 people there I am convinced that there's a great coach behind them all. They really do care for you and not just with your eye care, personally too. Not the typical awkward moments that you get from most like, " how are you? " then silence after you say, "good not bad you? " Rather a real conversation about both our families and smiling. With everything going on lately I felt like I was back in the 70's again with respect, manners, and professionalism. I was so pleased to see a group effort like this that I will indeed be telling all my co-workers at work for certain. Perfect example, I was asking questions to one of the doctors and she answered them with no hesitation and confidence so I was OK with her answer. Just when I think that I won't see this person anymore because I moved on to another individual for the next step she comes out like 5 min later to just follow up more in depth just to make sure I was in good hands. I have no doubt that in a week or so my glasses will be perfect!

This Location is great! They are always willing to take the time and help you.
Andrew is the best! He is always on target when I get new glasses and do not have to go back.
