Davis Visionworks Stony Brook Tech Park

I've been a loyal customer for over 15 years and have always had great and friendly service. What in the world happened to Davis Vision? I brought a pair of my frames in around Christmas to have new lenses put in so I can work more easily at my computer. I never heard back from the manager as to why the frames were late. After calling many times (it's now almost impossible to get anyone to answer the phone thanks to the new corporate phone system), I simply heard they weren't finished yet. When i went in I discovered that my pair of frames had been lost as they "throw them all in a bin together and sometimes this happens. " I left a photograph of myself wearing the frames to help them locate them, only to hear nothing back from the manager. Christian Carfero, unlike the old managers, seems totally uninterested in doing his job. It's now 5-6 weeks since this started and there has been no feedback as to the whereabouts of my frames or the plan to move forward to replace them. Terrible management and the corporate restructuring makes it impossible to ever speak with anyone directly. There remains some wonderful staff who try their best to be helpful but they clearly have been forced to work in a nonfunctional, mismanaged system.

1st they sent the wrong prescription and now I am waiting for well over a month for the correct ones.

Dr. Kwon is amazing. Everyone was practicing social distancing and wearing a mask. They have you call from your car when you arrive to let them know you are there for your appointment and then they call your cell phone when the room is ready and you can come inside. They disinfect any glasses you try on. I had a great experience.

I had a great experience choosing my glasses at Davis vision works at stonybrook ophthalmology in Setauket. The associate Rachel was extremely pleasant and extremely helpful. She actually listened to what I was looking for and chose many different frames to choose from till I was found the pair I desired; which I’m beyond happy with. She then passed me off to Alex who gave me many different options in lenses which he recommended best fit my needs of what I use them for. I normally don’t write reviews but it truly was a pleasant 5 star type of experience. I never felt rushed or pressured in any of the steps of the process. I have highly recommended them already and I will definitely be making them my eyeglass providers.
