One of the best experiences I’ve had in a wine shop in a very long time! Mannie was very helpful and sent us home with a few beautiful bottles - each more delicious than the last. We’ll be back soon!

Absolutely AMAZING selection and so many I haven’t seen in other places. The owner hand picks the best and you can’t go wrong. Was introduced to orange wine and not sure I would go back to Rosé.

The selection is beyond anything I have seen in the neighborhood. Niche, rare and very special wines.
Prices are beyond reasonable. (A bit low knowing what the markup is at restaurants)
And Manny, will steer you in the right direction. The guy knows his stuff.
This is far from the basic neighborhood wine shop- this is the real deal!

Let me start off by saying this review will encompass two perspectives. 1) as a local who lives in the neighborhood for tourists or those in the area unfamiliar and 2) a general review for the quality as a wine shop in NYC.

As a local, I appreciate variety and convenience. That being said, the area has wine shops but they're only your typical wines that you can get at any shop. Since there isn't much differentiation in the stock of nearby shops, shop owners tend to be hands off an in turn not the most helpful/knowledgable. That all changes here. The shop is run by a gentleman named, Manny. He might very well be the most impressive wine shop head in the area, as well as my experience in NYC overall. He understands wine in such detail that he can recommend something just based on vibe that you're looking for. More importantly, his wine selection is the best in the area. They carry all of the popular natural wines (think glou glou, etc), as well as your typical French Syrah's, Italian Chianti's, Napa Cab's, and so on. If you need wine, at the best price, with the best section, you need to come here!

Secondly, in terms of quality; I believe the above mentions a good amount of my perspective here. The natural wine selection is incredible, Manny also at times has bottles open for patrons to try, and lastly, it's a gorgeous shop.

Given my review, please keep one thing in mind. While the shop is incredible-tier, the real value here is your association with the shop head, Manny. He is the reason I will keep coming back, and why you should give it a shot.

As a wine lover, I recently stumbled upon a brand new wine shop in the Hudson Yards Neighborhood called Death Ave Wines. I was welcomed warmly with a big smile by the shop manager, Mannie. I loved the vibe and decor of the shop. Mannie was more than happy to give recommendations, as he has personally curated the selection of wine that is offered at the shop. I was so impressed by the offerings, I ended up purchasing 4 bottles! A Gavi (Italian White), an Argentine Red Blend, a Greek White, and a Spanish Red. I’ve opened the Argentine Red Blend so far, and I was blown away! I will definitely be back to buy more wine, and I think it’s very important to support our local businesses!

Manny has a very open and transparent way of helping me pick out some unique, flavorful wines that help with impressing friend and family! Great selection and great employees!

Just what Hudson Yards needed! Manny is fantastic, and has an excellent wine collection. Definitely reccommend!
