DeCicco Family Markets reviews
18Very good managers in scarsadsle location. Their staff are ordering items that y request that are not presentlty stacked on shelves due to difficulty in getting routine items that were normally stacked prior to covid occurrence.
The store is clean and you can find everything since they expanded their store. I will return soon.
I try to avoid. Staff act bothered that customers are in the store shopping. I could give plenty of examples. The latest example - 8 minutes before closing I was looking in the freezer for something to purchase and the clerk literally asked me to move so that he could turn the light off in the freezer I was shopping in. I couldn't see in the freezer anymore. It was that ridiculous. He couldn’t be bothered to wait til closing or come back. So I did move. Out the door to another grocery store.
I have mixed feelings about this market. It's proximity to the Parkway is great. The staff is helpful, but the word friendly can't be used. It seems to have a very old world supermarket crew in a store trying to be upscale. The cashiers are efficient, but frightening. Sorry, but it's true. They have unique, high quality things mixed with normal ubiquitous products. They are more costly than other places, but better things cost more money. The produce section isn't great and the produce doesn't seem that fresh to charge such premiums. Their meat department is relatively comprehensive and good quality and the meat moves quickly. They got better at social distancing since their tragic beginnings when COVID began, but could still be better. They should've just closed the parking lot and expanded the store because that lot is frightening. My BIGGEST complaint is their dating of the food and using a "sell by" date is non-existent. C'mon!? You gotta start putting dates on the food. Three stars because I still go, but only three because I still have to go elsewhere for better quality produce and sometimes I can't abide how cramped the place is.
Congratulations You've forced me to write my first review ever. You've lost my support. I've been shopping there for my 20 year career in the emergency service. Not because it's so good but because I'm a captive audience. But no More. Due the current Covid climate we've been working crazy extra hours (as I am sure so is he). I needed groceries for my next few meals as I was asked to stay for another shift. One register open with 50 people on line. I walked to the service desk and asked to be checked out as I only had a few items. The manager told me "no". I understand how that would look as I was in uniform and on duty except there was no register or people in that end of the store. So therefore there would have been no customers to upset. Just a shrug. So I left. For good. I will be spreading the word. They say they want to thank first responders. This would have been so simple.
Always, always check the expiration date on products from DiCicco’s- their shelves seem to be full of expired products.
The store horrible.dark lighting.looked disgusting.tried to get prepared salad at deli, that did not look good either.the sliding door where the salads, deli meat is taken in and out looked absolutely disgusting. Anything that is not pre packaged from a manufacturer i would not advise eating/buying.it looks as if this store never gets cleaned properly
In formed by employee there's no restroom available. Store appears old and crowded with narrow aisles. It smelled of a strong cleaning agent.
Honestly, the store itself is fine. It packs a lot of variety and choices in a small, aging, chaotic store. The problem is the shoppers. They are pompous and rude. Even the staff at the butcher has an attitude. Go there for the food, don’t expect a pleasant experience
Best Supermarket.they have a little of EVERYTHING: organic, hot food, Japanese Sushi Bar, etc etc.and The Market is just the right size so you don’t need to walk forever to find something. A+
High prices but very convenient. For a small supermarket tey have a great selection of products. I often stop here on my way home from work to pick up a few things. It's easy. They have a small parking lot out the back which often fills up. When this happens there is street parking-just make sure you have change as the meter maids are crazy.
Great selection and quality, particularly for a fairly small grocery store. It’s definitely pricey, but worth supporting.
Good beer selection. The same goes for the cheese. Cheap items are expensive, some expensive items are cheap haphazardly throughout the store.
Over priced but extremely convenient if you just need to run in and out for something.
There is a small parking lot in the back of the store.
I was in and out of this place, which was great. But, I passed by numerous employees, you would think at least one person would say hello.
A small and local grocery store with overpriced items all around. It is fairly clean considering people are constantly walking around there, all of the shelves seem to be stocked properly with little to no mess. I would and do come back here once in a while if I wish to spend a bit more on food for my home.
Convenient but overpriced with a poor selection. I can hear the staff gossiping about the customers in Spanish.
This grocery store has most of the vegan items I use. I always stop here to pick a few things up, before heading home.
