Deep South Taco, Buffalo NY

The service was amazing! Our server went out of her way to make sure the boys and I had a great experience. It has a nice interior design that felt fun. The food was good and not expensive. The kitchen turned everything around very quickly. Could have been happier.

Really enjoyed our visit here. The margaritas were delicious, as were the nachos. Steve took great care of us, and we enjoyed visiting with Richard while he took the time to chat with us. We will be back, can't wait to experience this place in warm weather!

Fantastic place to kick a couple back after a hard day work. Friendly staff, great food. Loved it and going back!

Food wasnt completely terrible but maybe it was an off day. Drink I ordered, Boom, just tasted like a normal marg.the nacho Libre platter was good but lacked really anything other than Jalapeños and a soggy mess of cheese covered chips, kung pao taco was dry and hard, was difficult to chew and just had peanut sprinkled over the top as if they just opened the planters bottle and sprinkled on it. When walking in the smell was just of spilled beer and there were gnats all over the hot sauces. I'm not sure of what they want the experience to be for peope dining in but it seems off. Bummer to say it wasn't great: (

Really good tacos and really good drinks! Came here randomly on a work trip and I’m so happy I did! I got 4 tacos and they were immaculate, as well as the frozen sangria / margarita combo!

Steak on nacho’s was extra well done. 18 minutes later our waitress came back after asking another waitress to track her down.
I asked for some medium rare steak because the steak was extra well done. She says sure. The steak comes back well done again. I have to pay half of the price for the well done steak, when I specifically asked for medium rare. Avoid this place if you want common curtesy.

It’s…. Fine. If you like spice/heat, you’ll love it. If you like flavor, there’s another fantastic taco place a mile or so away. Kind of a dive feel so if that’s your thing maybe 3 stars but I like my marg in a glass not in plastic and my tacos with some flavor. Chips however are A+.

Cute little place. My coworkers and I went there for lunch one day. Nice indoor/outdoor eatong area so thats a plus. The servers were so nice! I was excited with the menu when i looked at it but the food was not that impressive. The worst part was the bee's. They must have a bit of a bee problem. The bee's were HORRIBLE while sitting there and trying to eat your food in peace.

I got the cauliflower tortillas, luchadored, and a margarita. The food was delicious! Our server was prompt, polite, and friendly. I really enjoyed the patio and ambience (the only down side was the bees).

I threw up after eating your disgusting nachos on bottomless mimosas day. It was NOT, I repeat, NOT, due to the mimosas (which were subpar). The health inspector will be notified.

Great options from tacos, to nachos, to street corn. The apps all looked great and it was hard to choose one. Vegan tacos available (potatoes, pictured) They were good, especially with the various sauces on the table. There's a pan of personal nachos and a full size pan. We got the personal and could split it between two of us. The prices are a little high for 1 taco. Wish the chips and salsa were complimentary for the high price of everything.

Edit to Add: The waitress was working the whole patio at lunch time and she was phenomenal. She did not skip a beat and was super nice.

Guacamole was delicious. The tacos were okay. I've been here only a couple times and I kinda felt like this place fell short the last time. I got a margarita and there was a couple bugs in the drink, I know likely unavoidable with the outdoor seating with summer.

Aside, if you want some spice to your life. Try their 2 hottest tacos. One has Serrano peppers (yes it is spicy). The taco with jalapenos on top is that taco. Another being their hottest which requires the waitress/waiter to give you a disclaimer and will recommend you immediately wash your hands after eating.

Enjoyed the papa's con rajas and a nice Hayburner IPA (which is local and on tap). Middle of lunch hour, pretty chill, found some weird chaos in the corner for the photo. Katie, the server, was great, really friendly, helped me pick the food and beverage, and was super cool with me getting pix of the strange chair, as well as guiding me to local shopping.

Also, for some people the musical atmosphere is really influential to the experience, and in this case it was perfect. The music was morale 80s and 90s tracks of the sort most people couldn't object to, and which complement lunch conversation perfectly. Great stuff for a beer and some food between friends.

Not only will I come back, I'm bringing friends.

Food was good. Customer service terrible. I will never eat there again. Experienced negative treatment at this establishment from the waitress who waited on my coworker and I (we were of different race and I felt her negative treatment towards me was without merit and racially motivated, because he was NOT treated unkind as I was).

Unimpressed by the food or the service. Came on a weeknight when it was not very busy and we waited a very long time for our food. When it came out, everything was lukewarm at best. Seasonings and flavors seemed to be good but it was hard to enjoy when it was cold. I appreciate that there are many gluten free options on the menu here and the waitress was knowledgeable but the food is not worth the price or wait here.

I really liked Deep South! We came for drinks - the nachos were incredible and the margaritas were excellent each time they came out. My only criticism would be that the tacos definitely underwhelmed, though that might only be in comparison to how good the nachos were. Definitely come here for a drink and some apps!

Went to Deep South last night. Tried to order a salad and a main dish off the menu and was told neither were available. Changed order to guacamole with crudités and a burrito. Got guacamole with no crudités and had to ask again for the veges. Waited a long time to get them. Took one taste of the guacamole, paid my bill and left without waiting the the burrito. So much salt in the guacamole it was inedible. I won't go back.

Do not go for Cinco de Mayo!
You pay to get in and then you wait for over a half hour for a drink and food. We left and enjoyed other places that night.

I do not mind a donation but expect the line to move even slightly while waiting. Just to be clear I didn’t even get close to ordering within the half hour standing in line. I left before I found out how long it would have been. There was no structure for an event of its size. I’ve never been here before and can’t comment on the food and most likely never will be able to. But as far as being organized for large events I don’t recommend going at all and that’s why I made it clear not to go to Cinco de Mayo.

Personal size nachos were SO GOOD! The tequila selection is amazing from entry level to top level. Great staff. Great food. Good first night in Buffalo!
