Der Krung Thai Cuisine reviews
19 There are so many Thai restaurants in Hell’s Kitchen. This one of the good ones. I learned Thai food from My college roommate who was from Thailand. So I like authentic Thai food. The curry puff and very good and Tom kha kai soup had all the authentic ingredients like galangal, kaffir lime leaves …
I asked for Prik nam pla (Thai chili with fish s sauce) for fried pork belly with Chinese broccoli, they were happy to make for me.
I will go back there any time.
The food is delicious and the quantity is good. The service is friendly and the atmosphere is nice. I recommend it
Food was great, I really loved how each dish had a distinct flavour and wasn't just the same mixture of ingredients over and over again. Would 100% recommend the drunken noodle. However, the food did take a while to come and although it's not mentioned whatsoever, on the menu it says 25% automatic gratuity for parties of five or more. I find five to be a pretty low number for that type of rule.
I had the Tom Yum soup w/shrimp for the starter, and it was very flavorful. I finished with a Green Curry w/Chicken. It was O so good, but make sure you ask how spicy you want it. Very intimate place to eat, with not many tables, so get there early. Thanks guys!
I got the Basil lunch portion with chicken and it had the rich notes savory flavors you might expect from quality Thai food. One thing that was odd to me is they have no spicy default and some items are marked with a flame which the key says means mildly spicy. I asked if there was a more spicy option and the server brought it a dish they called "extra spicy" but I would say I'm my typical Thai "hot". If the heat is critical to your enjoyment, order appropriately. The enjoy the deliciousness of the core flavors, you need no special ordering
Excellent service.
Very clean environment with delicious food.
Prices are surprisingly affordable.
I always come for their lunch special. Great proportions and for the right price. All together it was no more than 16–17$! One of the best Thai restaurants I have been to!
Only negative feedback is the Atmosphere is a bit awkward since tables are tightly together, it’s a small restaurant and the music is way too low (this woudlnt be an issue if you come with friends). Just be mindful you can literally hear conversations.
I've been to Thailand and must say this place e has some of the best Tom Yum soup I've had!
The staff was friendly and attentive to detail.
Pretty standard Thai food at ok prices. Service was attentive and the food came out reasonably quickly. Good place to stop by for a quick lunch
This is one of the best Thai restaurant in the city!
I strongly recommend Tom Kha Soup and Kee Mao noodles
Small place serving delicious Thai dishes just 10 min away from Lincoln Center. It's definitely a recommendation.
Perfect, just perfect! Superb food, excellent service - we felt completely at home and relaxed, and terrific ambience. This is some of the best Thai that we've had in a while - sadly very few Bay Area restaurants have impressed us the way that this place just did. We're favoriting it as a New York must -have for our next trip here.
A very enjoyable Thai restaurant. The food and drinks were delicious and tasty. The coconut water was amazing. They will tailor the spiciness of some dishes. The environment is charming and comfortable. The tables are not cramped together and the noise level was low enough fir easy conversations. I will definitely return to this place.
I went with a party of 4, and all 4 of us enjoyed our meals. There are many thai places near this one, but I have not tried any others for comparison. However, this place was definitely great, and worth another visit. It's very tiny, and seemingly the whole restaurant was served by 1 server and 1 food runner, so service may be a tad slow, but if you're not in a rush, then this will not matter.
Very good Thai food in Hell's Kitchen. Of all the typical Thai joints in the neighborhood I'd rate this one among the best. Nothing too different or creative but food is tastier. The curries are very good. Excellent place for vegans and vegetarians. There are so many Thai places in Hell's Kitchen and everyone seems to have a different favorite but honestly you can't go wrong here.
The service was good but sadly my go-to Massaman Curry was watery and bland, with almost no spice to it (and the menu says it’s spicy!) The chicken portion was also very light for the price. The place itself is quite small so doesn’t have much of an atmosphere. Only had the curry, so other items on the menu might be better…
Good stop for veggie Thai option.
They make curries without fish sauce and oyster sauce
I’ve had a lot of Thai food in New York, California, and even Thailand and this is among the best. Delicious, consistent, and friendly staff. Could not recommend more!
Food was amazing, We had the best pineapple fried rice ever from a thai restaurant. BEWARE the chicken dumplings are small and only 4 dumplimgs are served. Staff was attentive. Went on a weekday late afternoon didn't have to wait. It's a small cute place.
