Detective Dillon Stewart Playground reviews
7I grew up playing in this park. I was there before they created this playground. The sprinklers was better in the early 2000-2010's. This sprinkler is a disgrace compared to the one before the renovation. If you look at other playgrounds in different neighborhoods their is a heavy water flow. This one is a spray. The world sphere in this park is supposed to have water coming from it. Ever since this new park has been open the valve has been broken and no matter how many 311 complaints you give, no one fixes it. I would prefer my old park where the playground and spring kler was the best.
Only in NYC would we name playgrounds for policemen yet make rules around single people being allowed to sit in them alone.
I stopped by here yesterday and there was a big soccer game (2actually) going on in the field. I actually didn't take photos because my battery was down to 4% but I'll definitely be back. This park is made for field activities and for little children.
3 playgrounds (For all ages) in one park.equpped with sprinklers, swings for all ages.and some chessboard tables.
A great playground. There are 3 different jungle gyms (toddlers, little kids, pre teens), the are also 2 sets of swings. There is also a water spray system for the kids to cool down. A few vendors and many seats makes this playground one to definitely re visit.
You have to watch out for the baseballs coming from the neighboring fields. I saw a pregnant lady get hit in the head while she watched her kids in the playground.
Great place to hang out, swings fur little and big kids and separate play structures so the little kids get run over when the older ones play a bit rough. Busy on the weekends from spring to fall when the soccer league plays in the fields next door and there are also always some vendors nearby
