Everything ordered was delicious! I recommend the antipasto salad with tortellini. The younger male employee seemed to be the most pleasant.

True Italy inside the NY
A shop where you can buy everything Italian: fresh cheese (maaaany varieties), salami and other meat, hand made pasta and ravioli, different sauces and oil. Of course, there are variety of appetizers like olives, dried tomatoes, peppers, artichokes etc. Nice staff.
Be aware: this shop closes at 6pm.

Super legit. We didn’t know how highly rated this place was, we were drawn in by the window displays and array of italian products. The woman who helped us was awesome and everything we got from here to eat was delish and so reasonably priced. Will be returning.

I’ve had mozzarella everywhere, but this was by far the best mozz I’ve ever had. Friendly staff with amazing cheese and meat options. If you are if Little Italy, make time to come here.

NYC's best shop for imported Italian cheeses and meats. While Eataly has more variety, DiPalo's tends to carry more obscure items like culatello do zibello or various types of Tuscan pecorino.

Just need to put up with the lines of tourists who treat ordering like they are in a museum.

There is no finer imported Italian specialty food shop in Manhattan.

This family business has been continuously operated by the family for over 100 years.

Today you can expect fresh imported meats and cheeses along with the back story on the maker and the style.

If you are in a rush, this is not your place. The team here takes their time with each customer to ensure they get the highest level of service as has been tradition.

I can personally recommend their San Daniele prosciutto and their parmigiano reggiano which comes direct to the shop from Italy each season, which apparently makes a difference in the flavor.

There is also fresh pasta, sausages, meatballs, plain and smoked mozzarella as well as fresh ricotta.

This place was a great treat.they have a lot of selections of meats and cheeses to select from. We got two during a food walking tour and were extreemly fresh and good. Thier olives were also very tasty.recommend checking this place out, it's the kind of place that has been in a family for year and years to come.

I visited this delicatessen because the enermous cheeses in the show window attracted by attention. Once inside the smell of hams and cheese was noticeable. Definitely a place to visit.

Excellent Italian Deli in little Italy. Highly recommended. Parmigiano Reggiano cheeses are the best in the city.

Amazing selection of Italian product! I prefer this place than Eataly because the italian staff always help you with the correct choices.

Great, just great positive people. Had I not spend some free time after a training /business trip up there a few years ago…. …. I would not have had explained to me “ONLY from Italy you can get …. Parmigiano-Reggiano! All others… my friend …. IS FAKE! It is not real Parmigiano! ” It went something like that. (Thought about the visit as I tutor related to a aviation simulation where a flight plan goes across Italy.)
He was speaking with compassion and fervor and Not even sure if he was a employee! Somebody I am sure is fortunate to have hm as a father, uncle, etc… Will try to dig up photo took of front of shop and post. Again, great positive people… and food.

We emigrated from Italy and have been coming since the late 90's to Di Palo's. I am extremely grateful for Di Palo's and the connection we have been able to maintain to our roots and traditions.
