Dimitris always meets my expectations and far beyond. I only trust him for my highlights as far as it is so difficult for others so far to get me the results that I need. " Iordanis", is a very experienced hair colorist that I'm glad that just joined their team. He is listening very carefully what your needs are and he is very helpfull!

Had a really great first time experience here! I simple went for a blow dry and wash, but the people there are organized, CLEAN, and knowledgeable what what they do. I wish I could put 10 stars at this salon and specially to Jordan that he took care of me couple days ago. My highlights have the best color, not yellow at all. He cut my hair as much it needed it. He was nice, polite and gave me the best advice how to take care my hair. He did the whole process in 2 hours. I didn’t even need to stay all day at the salon. The best of all. Definitely I recommend him and I will go back!

Arrived for my appointment 10 minutes early, my hairstylist Jordan was busy with another client getting highlights. Waited 45 minutes for a 15 minute haircut. Jordan was rushing to get back to the highlights.
He obviously double book appointments. He lacked knowledge of how to cut and style curly hair. Left looking worse than when I walked in.

I’m in LOVE with my haircut! Best bob I’ve ever had! Luk is absolutely FANTASTIC! Not only did he do an absolutely amazing job but most importantly he listened to what I wanted, which is often not the case with hair dressers. He’s an artist and a super nice person as well. I also appreciate the fact that they offer haircuts without blowouts since I don’t like blowouts. Overall a WONDERFUL experience and I’ll definitely be returning! Highly recommend!

I’ve been to this salon a few times and every time I have Despina, I leave feeling amazing. I got a cut yesterday and I couldn’t be happier with the results. I woke up this morning and finally felt like my hair was mine again—it’s hard to explain but the pandemic did a real number on my self image. I wanted to leave this review especially for her. This place is Amazing- from the owner to the staff. I have been to many places and there is no other better. Adam works on my hair- he is honest, thorough and super talented. I’m so grateful to have a place I can trust that my entire family also come to. I highly recommend!

I have been going to Dimitri for years, starting off at the Bayside location and followed him to his Astoria location. I have never been dissatisfied with color or cut. Most recently I have gone for a bleach wash treatment (as my hair was extremely grown out from the previous color) and toner for color correction (done by Despina) and cut/style (by Dimitri). The toner has lasted well over 8 weeks without fading/recurrent reddish tones and none of the long layers were choppy.

My mom is also a very satisfied customer; she's colored, cut and styled, and Despina and Dimitri were able to dye her natural hair to match her hair extensions perfectly, as well as trimming them to blend in seamlessly with her natural hair and hairline.

The salon is spacious, exceptionally clean, the prices are great for the quality of service and the receptionist Sophia is always friendly and as accommodating as possible even on short notice. They also offer coffee and snacks while you're getting your treatments done which is a nice touch as sometimes we are in there for hours at a time.

After my first visit I am delighted with my cut. Nicolas did a terrific cut after a thorough consultation. I’m totally satisfied and highly recommend this salon. Best experience of an Astoria hair salon.

Dimitri has been cutting my hair for the last ten years. I don't live close to his new location in Astoria but the drive is worth it, I even plan my vacations around his schedule. He is simply the best stylist and a great person as well!

It’s really hard to find your hairdresser! Takes a lifetime sometimes. Adam is the one I can trust in all my hair experiments! He just knows what you want, even if I don’t know what I want:) He is a perfectionist!

When the time came to brave the outside world during a global pandemic to get my son's haircut there was no other place I'd go than Dimitri's Hair Design! Their convenient location (right off the N/W @ Broadway), the warm/welcoming staff and all the thought out COVID precautions put me straight at ease. My son was mesmerized by Dimitri's scissors and his haircut turned out AMAZING! All I have to do now is call to make my own appointment for a fresh new cut! See you all soon!

I went there to do my hair for prom around June and the staff was so kind and welcoming. I'm thinking about going back to them soon to do something new to my hair!
