Dinosaur Bar-B-Que reviews
17First-time dining at this establishment revealed a stark contrast between the exceptional food quality and the lacking service and ambiance. There's a noticeable need for improvement in these areas.
I live right nearby but this was our first time here. Fantastic barbecue, every single thing made from scratch and on point, even the corn bread and bbq sauces. Price was decent, but specially since we split huge combo plates and several starters. Brisket was moist and flavorful, fall apart tender, and the fried green tomatoes a huge standout, though the shrimp boil was good.
This was a wonderful experience, food was tasty and well presented, staff was friendly and efficient without being over-bearing (huge thanks for that) atmosphere was relaxed and just what I needed mixed drink (donkey punch) delicious
Bait and switch deal for restaurant week. This is consistent with how I've felt during previous visits. I don't support dishonest businesses, and I suggest you don't either.
Absolutely loved this place - it is everything you want in a burger/American food restaurant. Will totally be coming back!
Haven't been in over a decade but, it is just as good as I remember. We had the Deviled eggs and fried green tomatoes to start and I had the short rib bbq entrée and my girlfriend had the 1/2 of ribs. Amazing. Some of the best BBQ NYC has to offer. Generous portions and impeccable service. Thank you Maria!
I ordered for delivery it was cold, the chicken was dry and one piece of brisket was pure fat and the rest was very dry
Authentic!
Best Hamburger in town!
Delicious meat, fresh vegetables and delicious fries.
No hipster frills, rock music in the background, friendly service and American spaces!
An excellent pub that offers a different alternative to New York tourist destinations.
Food was plain no flavor for me
Service was amazing very friendly food drinks came out quick with no errors
Atmosphere was okay a lil to close to other tables to the point we was hearing all of them cursing and all other then that it was amazing wouldn't have it as a go again place
My family and I have spent the last 4 New Year's Eves at Dinosaur BBQ. As in the previous years the food, service and atmosphere were all very good.
A "down to earth" menu featuring burgers, smoked meat, ribs, homemade sides, and more. The ribs stand out, with a single recipe but the choice of a full rack or smaller portions. We opted for the two-person option with full rack and four garnishes of our choice. Fries and mac&cheese on the side were great.
Quick and friendly service; ribs arrived within 15 minutes after ordering. However, minus for cleanliness of cutlery and sauce bottles on the table.
Btw, this place has a unique history behind its creation, as it was founded by a motorbike rider last century when they weren't welcomed in other diners. At least that's what they say:)
The wait staff was very attentive, the food was exquisite, the ribs, the brisquet, the barbecue wings.
Anastasia, our waitress was great. Food was served hot and the beer was perfect! We were not rushed and the noise in the restaurant was not too loud so that we could have a good conversation. I would definitely revisit this restaurant if the opportunity presents itself again!
I have no complaints. It's exactly what I expect out of a large BBQ spot in Harlem and I absolutely love the food, so I'd recommend it to anyone looking for some comfort food. It's a big place and they seat a lot of large groups and families, which is absolutely not an issue for me but I wouldn't call the atmosphere relaxing. So YMMV but I'm a fan and any cons are definitely outweighed by the pros.
Top notch BBQ! I have gone here many times and it’s always amazing. The brisket is the best I’ve had. Chicken wings are smoked and finished on the grill, a must try. The fries are some of the best you can find and consistently perfect. I’ve had about everything on the menu and it’s all delicious. The staff is friendly and attentive.
I haven't been there in a long time. The food was really good. The service was great.
Don't go here unless you really enjoy barbecue. Chicken, pork or beef- all are enjoyable and the sides are amazing. Portions are generous and sides are amazing.prices are reasonable. Baked macaroni has been called comfort food. Theirs has double the comfort. The corn bread was amazing. Want a special treat? Get the deviled eggs. Service was attentive. This is a popular location so it tends to get loud! Mixed drinks were great. Prices were reasonable for the portions.
