I really enjoyed the brunch here! Gorgeous spot with great sunlight. Sat by the window and felt like we were in Paris in the middle of LES:) Located inside Ludlow Hotel!

Fav dishes:
- Pancakes were so soft and fluffy! It came stacked in 5 pieces but surprisingly very delicate to the touch. Also looked really good. Went well with the maple syrup & fruits from the granola yogurt bowl.

- Egg benedict with smoked salmon came with a side of house potatoes which were delicious and nicely crisped with bits of fried garlic! Egg came a bit too runny for my taste but otherwise assembled very well

- Yogurt granola also went well with the meal as it complemented the savory egg benedict.

- Service was good too!

Wish they had the iconic chicken crepes during brunch

I came to Dirty French for brunch on a Sunday with a party of 4. We had a reservation at 1pm indoors, for which we were a little late but still were able to be accommodated inside after a little wait. This is a very cute spot that serves French food. Service was overall good and efficient- I appreciated that all our food was brought out at the same time so no one had to wait around. We ordered some coffee that came in these really nice ceramic mugs. For food we ordered:

- Croissant: delicious! Super flaky and a bit crispy but with a perfectly decadent and buttery interior. Came with some strawberry jam on the side which was great! I prefer the croissant alone since it has such good flavor already but a good change from what I'm used to.

-Crepes Au Sucre: delicious crepes! Super soft and with a mildly sweet flavor. Comes with more strawberry jam, sugar, and lemon.

-Profiteroles: amazing and filled with very good vanilla ice cream! The chocolate sauce is to die for. We used the leftover to add to our crepes sucre and it was an amazing pairing. Not overly sweet. Good portion for sharing since it comes with 4 individual ones.

Overall, this place for the price was okay. Their breads are very high quality and the ambiance is amazing. Solid croissants though and the ambiance, especially during the holidays with the decor, is very nice! Would probably only come back for a to-go croissant with some coffee.

Had an average experience at Dirty French which was unfortunately undermined by surprisingly slow service. The restaurant was decorated like a classic French spot, and I appreciated the available tables on a Saturday early afternoon. The food and drink options however were basic and average, both in variety and in quality. It also took us far too long to get service, receive food, and to be able to close our check. If you are in the area, it's a middling option for brunch.

I chose Dirty French to celebrate an occasion with friends and family. Our large party was accommodated in the main room and we felt we had plenty of space. Wait staff were professional, experienced, and attentive. For a group our size, we were required to get the Prix Fixé menu which was served family style. Highlights were the appetizer oysters, white cheese with flatbread, and tuna tartare. We felt the deviled eggs were a touch under-seasoned and the salad was a little over-dressed. The main steak was utterly spectacular, as was the salmon. The chicken was also very well cooked and seasoned, and many at our table raved over the french fries. The vegetables served during the main course were perhaps outdone by the meats, and were unable to stand up to that level of flavor. For dessert, the beignets were flawlessly executed, and the sorbetto and gelato were sensational. Overall, we felt the restaurant was a touch dark and loud, which could easily be modified. We also noted that the bar was slower than the kitchen, which made drinks lag behind the meal. I felt the pricing was appropriate for what we were served, and would absolutely come back again for a special occasion.

Really nice place to stop by for food or drinks. The atmosphere is really relaxed and comfortable. Cozy fireplace sets the mood to enjoy tasty food on comfortable couches.
Outdoor garden looks amazing will sit there next time i visit. Had the Parisian Baguette taste was on point, bread was crunchy and fresh. Pickles, ham and mustard had a nice kick. Cappuccino to top it off.

Strangely the best part for me apart from the awesome food was that we didn't have to think about choosing the food. They had a selection of French food fixed and I kind of liked the idea of not having to scratch my head of what to choose.

Food was too spicy for some of my co-workers, but for spicy fans like me, it was delicious. So if you are not into spicy food, I recommend you say this before ordering.
I don’t give it 5 stars because I have tried better filet mignons. But I will definitely come back in another time.

Pam is the most amazing waitress. She took care of me all night and literally gave me the best service I’ve ever had in my life. She was an absolute joy to have as a waitress and I will come back to this restaurant as much as possible so see her.

The service was amazing, and the food delicious! The cocktails were outstanding. Next time I’ll just come to try the desserts. It was not noisy so you can actually keep a conversation. Loved Dirty French!

Wow - kudos to both the intrepid and patient hostess and the awesome bartender, Mark, for a fantastic evening at a beautiful restaurant. The cocktails and wine were superb, the complementary flatbread delectable and the rest of the food a little hit or miss. I didn't love the Mushroom MIllefeuille, the hanger steak had a lovely sauce, but was a little fatty. The Pommes Frites and Haricots were unparalleled. I have never had a better fry and the green beans were perfectly al dente and tasted of all things wonderful.

Fresh oysters, perfect martini, excellent Pinot Noir by the glass. The Cote du Porc was okay, and the Mushroom Millefuille was not the best. The bread/pita thing they brought out at the start was the best part of the meal.

We enjoyed several meals here during our recent NY trip. Excellent food and drinks! Nice service. The roasted chicken is delightful, the best I’ve had in a long time. So simple yet perfectly executed.

The food at Dirty French was excellent! Each portion of the meal was unique and delicious.

The atmosphere is upscale and the lighting is dim. There are also various rooms or sections of the restaurant.

The staff and service here were very attentive.
