It is incredibly stressful to have a new and first baby to be told they will likely need a surgery within their first year. After much research on the best pediatric urologists in the New York area, and meeting with multiple doctors at the major NYC hospitals, we decided to go with Dr. Poppas. He was patient, reassuring, explained medical information in an easy to understand way and made us feel at ease. Cornell and the Pediatric Urology team (nurses, anesthesiologist, social workers) were incredibly helpful and comforting to trust our baby to for a surgery, and most importantly Dr. Poppas did a perfect job and the results were amazing.

As we told him in our sons 4 month post-op follow-up, while we hope to never have to see him again, we know we would be in the best hands if we needed to. Highly highly recommend.

Dr. Poppas is an amazing doctor and a wonderful human. My husband, son and I met 2 other pediatric urologists before finding Dr. Poppas. Finding him was truly a gift. My nine year old son was in need of surgery. Dr. Poppas was so knowledgeable and confident. He put us at ease. He took the time to explain things to my son and answer his questions. He was very kind and truly a pleasure to speak to. I would recommend him to anyone looking for a pediatric urologist. I wish is that Dr. Poppas was a pediatrician so we could continue to have our children under his care.

Dr Poppas was great! We came to him from out of state and everything went perfectly. His bed side manner was great and the surgery my daughter had went perfectly. We did a video chat later on to check on recovery. Definitely would recommend him and would use him again!

Dr Poppas and his staff are not only very professional but they took the time to talk directly with my 10 year old son keeping him directly involved during the whole process.

Dr Poppas is the best Urology in America he's been seeing my son for the past 7yrs with a rare condition, he always there to address any concerns I have, at one point there was no appointment available and I went to another facility how sorry I was i had to run right back to him, my son is comfortable under his care and that's all that's important. Dr Poppas is very professional and put my son at ease before his procedure. His office was very responsive in the follow-up to the surgery.
