Donald M Kendall Sculpture Gardens reviews
9Wonderful, serene garden in Westchester county; beautiful sculptures and quiet places to enjoy blue skies. Usually open to public on weekends from April to end of October. You should call ahead to double check if they are indeed open to the public.
If you liked the outdoors and just wanted to take a nice stroll through some serious wilderness that's the place
What a discovery. Coming here was a suggestion and it was excellent. A walk and the art so so good. Saw family's with children and playing. Bathrooms too.
Sadly the sculpture gardens is falling way short of its former glory. Despite the glory of the grounds one wonders if sculptural works sold, or on are they on loan? No one seems to know, but many wonderful works are missing! And closing the wonderful inner courtyards to the public is an absolute tragedy for the art lover. Visiting was one of life's joys.now it's just a walk in the grass.
As always, the art inspires. The landscapes and planting choices are also amazing. This is a great place to spend a few hours enjoying sculpture and nature mixed together well.
The Donald M Kendall Sculptor Gardens is an attraction that features a gorgeous collection of outdoor sculptures in a very tranquil and carefully tended landscape at the PepsiCo Headquarters in Purchase, New York.
The garden was founded and named after the late, Donald M. Kendall, an American businessman and former CEO of PepsiCo.
The garden is open to the public and there’s no admission charge.
It features the work of many prominent sculptors, such as Alexander Calder, and Alberto Giacometti.
In June of 2022, I brought my wife and myself for a visit to the Donald M. Kendall Sculptor Gardens and we were certainly captivated by the amazing works of art.
Our favorite sculptures were the “Horse & The Rider” developed by Marino Marini, David Wynne’ s “Grizzly Bear as well as abstract pieces, Jacques Lipchitz, "Towards a New World” and Gideon Graetz, "Composition in Stainless Steel No. 1"
If you enjoy viewing art in an outdoor picturesque landscape, that you would definitely love the sculptures that’s displayed at the Donald M. Kendall Sculptor Gardens!
A lovely walk with sights to see! Moderately flat gravel walking paths are very accessible for a range of people and youngsters. Free to enter answer park, making an awesome resource for those nearby. Does get quite busy on the weekends with families and those seeking some fresh air and activity.
It's a nice trail you can walk. The sculptures are ok. I wish they offered a bit more. But it was free so you get what you don't pay for
