Dos Caminos reviews
19It was not good. Waited at least 20 mins before a server came. One server oddly stretched his arm in my friends face while we were at our table to turn on the tv. I’m very dissapointed. Food was good though.
When I heard Dos Caminos won the 2023 Bloody Mary Award for the year I had to go check it out and I was not disappointed. The food is always delicious.
Great service delicious food and not to expensive. Had a great time and will sure come again
Have been here twice now! Both day & night times are good to hang out here. The food was good, price is as expected for New York City. It is pretty close to Little Island and Chelsea marker & the High Line so makes for a great destination if you have planned an evening or a short trip. We ordered Empandas de plantano, large quac, Vegan cauliflower tacos (were ok!) with mojitos & margaritas to drink. The atmosphere is cool & decor is colorful too! Nice vibe.
Our server Frank was amazing!
Food was great!
Coffee is good!
Had a business meeting here and it went well. Grateful for the support of the restaurant.
The nachos were amazing. I was skeptical even when they arrived to our table.but they were unquestionably the best nachos I've ever had. Perfect balance. Omg I would drive one hour just for another plate!
An original Mexican restaurant with the best quality Mexican snacks and beer. Reasonable prices. Friendly and fast service. Excellent!
Really amazing place food was great drinks very good and service was AAA+ Alfred our bartender/server was friendly and really helpful me and my friends had incredible experience definitely we coming back again
First time guest here and there is room for improvement. First, as a customer at the Jose Tejas mexican restaurant in Fairfield NJ I where chips and salsa is complimentary with your meal, I was surprised that Dos Caminos charges for the same. Oh well, I figured for $5.00, no big deal. However, after dinner for three in which we all had tacos came to $190.00 (not including tips) I realized the prices here are a bit high for what you get. We did have two margaritas (not very good and clearly tasted as though from a bad mix and very little alcohol) and two tequila shots, but c'mon $190.00? I know Manhattan prices can be higher than NJ but I highly doubt I will ever dine at Dos Caminos in the future. Mexican food is supposed to be simple, tasty and affordable. The food was okay (nowhere near as good as Jose Tejas'), but I think I'll keep my mexican dining experinces elsewhere in the future.
Thanks to Anthonique who made this lunch very pleasant at Chelsea. Nice dishes. On the other hand, we are next to the parked buses. Help the ozone layer!
A really nice ambiance but equally bad food. Do yourself a favor, save a couple 20 dollars and never come here, I can make food that’s better tasting at home.
Our waiter (Frank) was very friendly and recommended very good dishes. The margaritas were amazing. The place has very good background music! Super recommended
We visited Dos Caminos this past Sunday for a Birthday brunch. It’s our second time visiting this location. We like the area because of the lively vibe and atmosphere. Staff is welcoming and friendly. The restaurant itself is nicely situated.
Our initial cocktails at the bar downstairs were delicious but then the standard dropped. I had three or four cocktails and they got sweeter and I couldn’t tell whether they had any alcohol. They had no effect on me whatsoever. The food is on point but our server got a few things wrong on my order. I had the taco tour and requested two grilled and two battered along with the chicken. They all came out battered. We also had desserts which everyone seemed pleased with. Overall everyone had a good time and food was plentiful and affordable.
Second time around here by chance! This time, vacationing with the family. Thank you much from all of us, especially with the attention from our waitress towards our infant. Cheers!

This place is a joke, I don't know what to start with. First the waitress
sat us on a slanted table on the second floor and disappeared. Margaritas were basically slashy with disgusting flavored syrups.
Food had nothing to do with Mexican food. Beef tacos can get them from taco bells and for sure they would've tasted much better. They were basically 3 small cheap hard shell tortillas filled with disgustingly dry unflavored "beef" and that's all, no sauce no lettuce cheese etc. You take one bite and will be choking to finish it. Shrimp enchiladas was far away from what it is called "enchiladas" it was a clump of cold tortilla stuffed with cheese and probably 4 or 5 cheap tiny shrimps dry as a hell no sauce, no flavor. Nothing. Guacamole was plain but ok. Literally I had chips for dinner and spent $120 for 2 people only. Let alone the slow service which took them more than 45 min to bring 2 terrible dishes on the table.
Honestly I don't really know who this place is still in business. I would never come back and would never recommend this place!
I had brunch at this place today. The employees seemed to stand around a lot. My server was very slow. Everyone was nice though and the food was great!
This was a great restaurant! Our waiter, Natalie, was super nice and gave us our food in a reasonable amount of time. The food itself was great (we got tacos) - I had no complaints there. The place was on the pricey side, but that’s to be expected for this neighborhood. Overall, awesome place and I would recommend.
We went for brunch at Dos meat packing! Breakfast burritos and margs were amazing! Big shout out to Sarah F our server, amazing service. We will be back!
My wife and I enjoyed our anniversary dinner here. The food was great and our server, Frank, was delightful. I’m too full to move so I wanted to write a review to be productive while I just sit here!
