DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Buffalo - Amherst

Disappointed as a loyal rewards member I ordered a salad no utensils included I go to wash my hands, is this a clean sink imagine the back of the bathroom door looking like that I’ll just let the pictures speak for themselves. I brought it to the attention of the front desk person who was cavalier at best. The front of the hotel had not been salted nor shoveled at 8: 10am, a lawsuit waiting to happen come on this IS Buffalo. There was a team of children staying at the hotel very disruptive security was sitting by the Christmas tree engaging in a full blown electronics conversation oblivious to the shenanigans. This is certainly not the standard I am accustomed to… shame on you Doubletree

Hands down the WORST hotel stay I’ve ever experienced. This place is a total dump with run-down rooms and garbage in the stairwells. The rooms are filthy with sticky floors, mould in the washroom and dust everywhere you look. My daughter lost a shoe and I had to look under the bed for it. It was disgusting under there. The staff is also very unpleasant. And on top of that, they don’t clean the rooms or empty the garbages. They don’t tell about their no cleaning ‘policy’ when you book or at check-in. You only find this out once your room hasn’t been cleaned and you ask for it to be done. The indoor pool (which my kids were excited about until they saw it) is cloudy and murkey and clearly isn’t maintained. And the roof in the pool area leaks. This place is barely a step above a hostel. Stay anywhere but here!

Great location. Clean roomsbut furniture is starting to show its age. Friendly staff (and yes, you get a cookie at check-in). Warning for fellow short people - you will need a running jump to get in bed but we'll worth it for the comfortable mattress and pillows.

Comfortable accommodations! Staff was eminently flexible and friendly! Was about 9 miles from our destination, but our Uber was a Tesla! So, a win! Those warm, luscious chocolate chip cookies on arrival were just the perfect way to start the stay! Well done!

The entrance and lobby/lounge are very nice; the location is perfect for us, as it is 3 minutes from our son's dorm at U Buff; The room was fine, but had a very small bathroom (narrow space for my line-backer sized husband!) And for once, could the king size bed have king size PILLOWS on it, instead of standard! Also, in the morning I used the jacuzzi and the water was cool (the jets are very good, though!). I was told by another guest that it had to be refilled because he'd seen families the night before eating food in it.and they left the food floating in the water! Yuck. (Perhaps there is a lack of staff to monitor the pool/jacuzzi area?)

We got a room and there was still a towel on the back of the door, no biggie, the cleaning person must've missed it. Go about our day, come back, get ready for bed and pull off the covers and there is HAIR everywhere, do not recommend a 4th floor room. But after that we could tell the room was not cleaned adequately and they were nice enough to give us another room. It was on the third floor, cleaned, and in much better condition than the other. Still a pain we had to relocate around 10: 30pm due to some issues, otherwise service and location was good! I would still rather go to a Marriott because it seems that the attention to detail at Hilton is overall not very good.

The staff and the service is so nice and great. The room is clean. And the location is convenient. We stayed the weekend for my son's hockey tournament, and the whole team had a nice time there. The only thing I just give 4 stars is the room size is tight for family staying.

The staff is pleasant and helpful. Good size rooms with most amenities you would expect.
The rooms are a bit dated as I'd assume they are used regularly.
The cleaning of the rooms depends on the room you are in as we were there with a large group.

I am a diamond member at Hilton so I have been to many Hiltons around the world, this hotel is not the double tree standard by any means. Checked in at night, two women present at check-in desk, absolutely rude and potentially racist. I am not African-American, I can just imagine how they would be behaving with them. They were so rude that, they did not offer room key or cookies! This hotel doesn't have trashcans in common areas. Rooms were not that clean. They get two starts for location and price. I will never return to this hotel ever again.

Hotel is outdated. Needs renovations. Especially for the cost of the rooms! The room tvs are small. The rooms don't even have USB PORTS! The bathrooms-old! Hilton-RENOVATE! The room has an shale odor.

The first night we had a dirty blanket which has red stain on it. And I requested twice to change it and they didn’t change it. Until I went downstairs to the front desk and we had to carry the blanket by ourselves to upstairs. We also found bed bug bites on our body and we found bed bugs on our luggage when we got home. I am so frustrated and this the worst experience of my entire hotel experiences.

Trust the reviews regarding this hotel. It was very, very dirty and outdated. The hallways had crumbs and debris. Upon entering our suite it smelled like urine. There was dirt everywhere. The hotel is very outdated. The price you will pay per night does not match the quality. I don’t plan on every staying at this hotel.

Nice clean affordable place for a stay while in Buffalo. Only a few minutes from airport and close for a Niagara Falls visit.

We had a very nice stay and our room was excellent! I just wish it was a bit cleaner. The beds were very comfy and we all slept great! Family of 4.and we all snored! We also enjoyed the pool and whirlpool on our last night here. The only thing missing was the free continental breakfast (For the price of our stay that should have been included). The shower had beautiful water pressure and felt amazing! The kids loved the double room and being able to sit in the 'livingroom' area to watch TV rather than in the bedroom.
We were in walking distance to a lot of stores and restaurants and the major outlets were only right over the bridge.
We drove 365 miles to get here and was able to book our room the morning of our trip online through priceline and it was a simple 5 minute process. I definitely recommend the DoubleTree by Hilton and will stay again in future trips. Thank you for everything!

Horrible place to stay.the entrance lobby was clean, but once you go beyond that it is absolute filth.dirty smelly hallway, dirty elevator, small rooms, dirty and sticky/grimy laminate floor, bath room with pink mold and dirty toilet seats. We stayed two nights, couldn’t wait to get back home. Dust everywhere, never gonna stay here again.

Clean hotel with comfortable, spacious rooms. Pool and hot tub area was large and well-maintained. Breakfast in the hotel restaurant was delicious! Good location with minimal traffic and numerous options for dining.

Room was very clean. Bathroom was tiny. I could barely close the door while seated on toilet. Front desk was helpful and courteous. Had issue with Hilton app key but was resolved by front desk. There was no food available in the evening at the bar/restaurant because no cook was available. Overall a very nice hotel.
