Doughnut Plant, New York NY

Ordered a birthday delivery of donuts (Grand Central location) for 8 am on a Sunday figuring early enough to still have the donuts, late enough to have made them. 4 hours past the delivery time they cancel the order. Not classy nor cool, will not order again from them when it counts.

Do not sleep on the cranberry & orange donut! OMG I'd definitely say I'm snob about donuts, so please trust me when I say you NEED this.

Was disappointed by doughnut plant. For being a popular/well known NYC donut shop, I found the donuts lacking. They were by no means bad but they were not up to the quality I expected based on other’s reviews. Would not get another donut here again.

Great location. Tasty donuts. Yosef was very kind and even gave a free donut to us because it was my friends’ birthday!

Picked up a Too Good Too Go on November 1st, the waitress was very nice and knew how to keep calm in the face of a very bad customer before me. Well done Miss. Very satisfying basket, donuts excellent the next day for breakfast!

ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS. My first time here & I’m in love with these donuts. Great texture & soft exterior. They have vegan options which is hard to find, price is banging & service was great. I will be back.

I ordered 25 donuts from Donut Plant for a client presentation (large law firm) but only received 22 donuts. While three donuts doesn't seem like a lot it does amount to nearly $25. I have left numorous messages via email, voicemail, and FB messenger over the past two weeks and no one has returned my calls, texts, or emails. The donuts that were delivered were a hit but I find this lack of responsiveness unaccepatable.

The donuts were not fresh and pretty bad. We tried different flavors. I wouldn't recommend it if you're a tourist. It was a very ordinary experience. The coffee is the worst I've ever tasted. The staff was pretty nice and friendly, though!

I used to come here all the time but my last two experiences here were the worst. They lost the magic and the donuts are dry the service is terrible. I tried the new apple cinnamon one today and was dry as bone I complained and the clerk offered for me to buy another one. I declined and tossed the dry one in tne garbage. Avoid this location

I stop by at least once a week to have their delicious doughnuts. But the real reason I keep coming back is Yusuf, always brings a smile to my face and starts my morning great. The combination of great customer service and doughnuts are the perfect way to start a hectic NY morning commute.

Really bad customer service, I ordered it online and my delivery time was at 5: 32 PM, I checked with delivery partner at 5: 45 PM I was informed they are still working on it. I had ordered it for one of my client visiting my office - really had a bad experience.

This donut shop is located in Tokyo, but I tried the donuts just to enjoy the atmosphere of the New York shop.
However, I was surprised by the bad attitude of this male employee. I was disappointed and cannot recommend it.

I am NOT looking for a reason to pan this place. First time visiting from CT. The apple-cinnamon donut was awful (chewy) and the coffee was worse (it left a chemical taste on my palet). Maybe that’s why I am here at eight in the morning and there’s nobody standing in line for coffee and donuts. I have no idea how this place is getting five stars on their donuts. Maybe New York City standards are very low.

This review is not for the place, but for the employees who works at this location hurting this awesome brand. They are Very rude and with a bad attitude. It’s like they want to show how much they hate their jobs and make the people who just want to experience the donuts, feel miserable as they are. When you work towards public, specially in a place like Grand Central, you need to be patience, tolerant and profesional with all customers. If working with public is not your thing, work in the back of a kitchen or something, but don’t ruin other people’s day with your bad attitude.

Too expensive and too sweet. 5.25 per donut and it is not tasty. Bad service, unfriendly sellers

This Doughnut Plant hasn't been my favorite to go to. For a $4.50 filled doughnut, you wouldn't think you'd get an unfilled one. The staff didn't seem to want to be there and the quality was lesser than other locations.

I'm very delighted I came here at last.has been on my want list for a while. The cake donuts, especially the dulce de leche and blueberry varieties (which I don't usually care for), really impressed me. The counter employee was kind and considerate as well. There are a few places to relax, however they are somewhat little if it's crowded. Absolutely delighted to be back!

Someone told me the donuts are quite sweet here but that wasn’t my experience. I actually liked it that they weren’t super sweet. The Brooklyn Blackout chocolate donut’s flavor wasn’t too rich or overpowering and its texture was very unique in that it crumbled, unlike many donuts that are more airy. We also tried the coconut cream as that is supposed to be one of the flavors they are known for. We weren’t impressed with that flavor but it wasn’t terrible. Next time I want to try the Crème Brulet as that’s another one they’re known for apparently. I also want to try the black and white, as well as tres leches.
