Downtown Coffee House reviews
13 Needed a public restroom by pier 36 for the Liberty Cruise and unfortunately there's no public toilets anywhere near there. We walked and stumbled across this coffee shop, which was very quaint and aesthetically pleasing.
Blue was our host, and was amazingly friendly. The iced coffee was as refreshing as the Aircon, and the service was friendlier than that of other coffee shops we'd received in upper Manhattan.
If you are looking for a refreshing coffee and/or need a public toilet in the area, look no further than this coffee shop.
I live in the neighborhood and wandered by this treasure. Go! It's lovely and now my go-to coffee spot in my backyard.
Every new coffee shop I visit, I always get an iced dirty chai as the judgment drink. They gave the most amazing one I've had in NYC to date. The vibe of the place is just peaceful, calm, and intimate. I'm in love, my new default shop
My go-to spot! It’s comfy, has wifi and love the vibe! Drinks are awesome too and the owners are helpful and nice:)
Always a pleasure. Don’t drink coffee but am always enticed by their offerings. So far I’ve tried the Downtown (I think) and the Allen (pictured). The barista Nailah delivered excellent customer service and made my drink very quickly. Will be back again to support this neighborhood business.
Nice coffee, kids loved the chocolate milk Big table with coffee beans touch was a cool design choice.
Love this place! Great coffee, outstanding service and atmosphere! Love the local artwork!
Yep, great coffee, pastries and staff. Plus the dogs are gorgeous. Wish I lived here to go everyday.
Downtown Coffee House near Two Bridges and Chinatown: home to reasonably-priced, good Coffee.
I live right up the block from this coffee shop and I if I can I try to go everyday for a coffee. I always get a large coffee with vanilla and half and half and it’s the absolute best/ smoothest tasting coffee I’ve had here in LES. The coffee is never over brewed or sour tasting and it’s always hot and fresh. I also sometimes get their cheddar chive biscuit, warm of course, and I love their reward point system that occasionally gifts you a free coffee! I’m gonna miss this coffee shop when I move!
Worst place ever, the cashier was on the phone while taking orders, I order coffee he gave me iced coffee and I told him that's wrong order he gave me attitude plus the coffee it self taste very bad and the chocolate corrosion was frozen and microwave heated. The full experience was awful specially with the cashier attitude. Don't ever go there save your money and don't ruin your day. Now the guy reply and you see his attitude even in the reply and that's what I was talking about and he was on the phone all the time while taking the order and I drunk your bad coffee because I just need something hot to drink
Coffee and pastries were really good. Have had the cheddar chive biscuit and a spinach feta pastry.
Best place in nearby area for coffee, ambiance, and most importantly have washroom that can be used. Lovely place overall.
