Daniel did a terrific job refinishing the wood floors throughout our home. The floors were very old, and had a lot of issues, but he worked meticulously to ensure all cracks were filled or sanded down to perfection. He was also extremely patient as we had to reschedule due to the recent power outage, and worked extremely hard to finish our floors as quick as possible given the delay. The floors came out terrific, we are so happy, and he was extremely professional.

Daniel did an excellent job on my oak hardwoods, they were in very bad condition and now they look like new and with the water based poly there was very little down time. Also very clean with no dust at all, I was not sure what to expect but it was a non-issue. Quick but thorough, and easy to schedule. All in all very happy with the job and will have his team back for more.

Being a kitchen design pro for many years, I am very picky about hiring tradespeople. Daniel at D&P checked all the boxes I have when I look for a trade professional. He is HIGHLY skilled, has attention to detail, he's friendly, courteous, patient, professional, always on time and NEAT. And, his prices were affordable and FAIR. Beyond all of that, he has great pride in his work which was delightful to see! Look no further! There is no box left unchecked!

Even more than that, he used a finish that I specified, a product he had not used before - Rubio Monocoat Oil. It is an oil finish (not polyurethane nor water based polyurethane) that gives a beautiful, matte finish and does not have the plastic look that polyurethane has (IMO). It comes in many colors, is applied in one coat and completely bonds to the wood for a highly durable matte finish which is so elegant and stylish. He researched it on his own, extensively and did a perfect job.

If you mention this product to any other Long Island floor finisher, most likely they will say no way, no good, can't do it, disaster. This is a next generation product with 0% VOCs, applied in one coat, easy to maintain and repair and you can walk on it the next day. It's highly durable. If you want a matte/non-plastic finished appearance and an intelligent, expert floor finisher, call Daniel! He's probably one of a handful or less on Long Island who understands, believes in and appreciates this product.

He was very honest and responsive throughout the whole process. Some areas of the original wood needed to be replaced or repaired. Dan committed a whole day at the house and was able to fix all the wood. Within 4 days Dan managed to sand, stain and finish all the hardwood floors throughout the house. Daniel is courteous, knowledgeable, professional, responsive, highly skilled and takes his work very seriously. He explained every step of the wood floor refinishing process. He showed up on time and even worked 10 or 11 hour days when it meant having the floors ready properly for the next day's work! I did not have very high hopes for my floors after the house flipper from whom I purchased it gouged and then drowned the damage in puddles of dark stain. Daniel promised to do his very best and I am thrilled with the results, which went above and beyond even my highest expectations! The floors are absolutely stunning and I could not be happier.
