One trick pony - epidural or nothing. Poor listening skills, limited diagnostic skill, not particularly interested in patient outcomes and spends 85% of the visit typing. NYC has an abundance of pain management specialists - likely anyone would be better. My husband wasted 6 weeks with no relief.

Extremely professional and efficient! He is really interested in solving complicated pain situations!

An Excellent doctor. He was both attentive with me and he knew exatly what was wrong with me. He set me on a plan and I followed it, and today I am feeling normal today. I would recommend him to anyone who needs his help

If I could give no stars I would. This man is horrific! All he cares about is billing and numbers. He not only misdiagnosed me and now my problems are even worse. I found him to be egotistical and condescending. STAY away and save your yourself. I wish I listened to other reviews.

Avoid! I saw him 3 years ago and because of NYU politics he is still blocking me from seeing other doctors at NYU (it is becoming more difficult to go outside NYU with the buying up practices with their huge endowment). He didn't listen to me when I told him I had already had epidural shots and they didn't work because he runs an epidural shot mill so everybody gets one whether they need it or not. After the shot he didn't return multiple emails asking what he had injected. More than one subsequent physician told me it was an inappropriate therapy but they couldn't go on record because Dr. Gharibo has too much clout.

I saw Dr. Christopher Gharibo on numerous occasions, on the TeleMed and in person for back pain. He took his time, he listened and worked with me on resolving my issues. I felt that I received excellent service by the doctor and the staff is super caring at NYU, from support staff to all the medical personnel. I felt that I was listened to, acknowledged and served at the highest level of professionalism in NYC. Thank you.

Dr. Gharibo is highly skilled no nonsense pain management specialist who does not, like other doctors, write pain med scripts. He suggested a nerve block and PT and I was cautious yet no therapy was working enough to make the pain bearable. He calls you back personally after every step and checks in. He’s highly skilled at injecting the anesthesia and nerve block and thinks through solutions. He also got insurance handled fast as his team works seamlessly. My neurologist recommended him and said he’s the best and very direct. That’s what I want in a doctor.
