Absolutely dishonest practice. They tried to get me to pay $180 upfront even with my insurance policy in hand stating clearly that I do not pay for routine checkups or initial visits. I even got the insurance company on the phone and here they are directly telling Schuster's receptionists that I do not have to pay. They wouldn't listen and turned me away.
Anyone experiencing this trickery from Dr. Schuster's office should immediately file a complaint with their insurance (as I did). The insurance companies do follow up and will eventually cut them. Let's put these crooks out of business.
Very poor and rude staff engagement which is concerning for a medical establishment. I reached out to the doctor directly to rectify the situation and hope it can be handled properly.
