Dr. Igor Khelemsky, MD, Brooklyn NY

My mom recommended Dr Khelemsky and he is awesome. I have been seeing him for almost a year, he always listens and writes everything down, and most tests are done on site. The ladies at the front desk are always nice, pick up the phone when you call, and I never waited longer than 10 -15 minutes. For an office that's actually pretty good.

I had an appointment on 02/23/23 in Rego Park When I there office was close. They don't even have their phone number patients has to call in Brooklyn office. When I called in Brooklyn Office. First of all she put me on hold just to ask a front desk question over 15 minutes now. I used to go in Brooklyn
office also. I asked them can I please come in Brooklyn office because I had an appointment woth dr in Rego Park
so dr went to to Brooklyn instead of regular office. She was no you can't come here. I took a day off from my job. Then when I asked her questions she hung up on me so unprofessional. If you care about your time and want real treatment, Do not go there! They keep you there long so they can use a higher code to bill money of your insurance! Bad operating office.

Best clinic to treat headaches and pain management. Dr. Igor Khelemsky is not like any other Dr. I’ve ever met, I’ve been coming to this office for 12 years and every time Dr Khelemsky listens attentively to my complains and if there’s anything serious he would deal with it right away and he takes the utmost
Interest to find the roots of the problem plus he always calms me down.
As for the staff, simply put, I love them, they greet everybody with a smile, try to do their best to help, from the receptionists, Milana Inna and Gretta best team ever (I’m sorry I don’t know the other staff names)
I would recommend whoever is dealing with any type of headache or pain to come and talk with Dr. Khelemsky and you wouldn’t go to check with another Dr.

I went there sometime last year. It was my first time where I notice well run office.
The two things that left me wondering was the amount of tests they did to be the first visit and the main thing that they put me with the doctor I didnt make the appointment with. On his favor, I would say that the doctor who saw me has the same last name and he was younger, guessing was the older man's son.
He was very nice, knowledgeable and listened everything I had to tell him.for me, that is key.
I will go again next month.

The front desk staff is rude and unprofessional.

They don’t know how to get to your medical record ; only 1 person knows and she works once a week! When she is there - she is very busy.

Needed my records to get refills for my meds ; however; these people don’t understand that some patients can’t skip any medications and it’s life threatening!

Don’t waste your time! Will not recommend!

Since my first visit to the doctor 30 years ago, I knew that I would not find better care for my neurological problems. Even my herniated disc had been fixed and for years I already have forgotten pain. I do recommend practice of Dr. Khelemsky to everybody who wishes to really solve neurological problems and alleviate pain.

I came few month ago for my back pain and doctor get me right therapy and treatment. I like all his friendly staffs girls at the front desk are so sweet and helpful

I had migraines for long time now after one month i can say that i forgot about them. It was easy to make appointment and wait was not that long. Asya helped me to fill up the forms and get my medications. Very friendly staff thank you so much for doctors team

I was referred to Dr. Khelensky by my pain management doctor after an Alarming MRI result. I was already nervous, and now going to a doctor and an office I have never been to before was nerve wrecking. Upon walking in to the waiting area, I noticed how calm and clean it was. While I sat waiting I heard several conversations between the front desk staff and the patients, the staff was very nice and extremely patient. Which made me feel at ease. It was my turn and I made my way to see the doctor, who with my stress and impatience managed to calm me down by explaining everything he did and the possibilities of my diagnosis. Which not only put a smile on my face but made me feel better. I was instantly provided with all the necessary tests in done at the office and a magnesium drip to help improve my condition. In an amazingly fast pace. I waited approximately 10 min of my appointment time. EVERYONE IN THIS OFFICE WAS SO NICE, so PLEASANT and so UNDERSTANDING, they answered every question I had about the procedures and tests. I appreciate this so much. While understanding that the people in any medical profession see thousands of people with their ailments, but to me my ailment is what worries just me? And I appreciate the fact that I felt as if everyone cared about what I was going thru and for that I am grateful. Thank you so much to all the staff and the doctor. You guys are amazing! I know I’m in great hands!

I scheduled a visit for February 23rd at the Forest Hills location on ZocDoc. There was nobody there to open the door when I arrived for my appointment. I made a call to the number listed on the exterior sign. It was explained to me that the number belonged to the Brooklyn office and the queens office is closed today. When I described my circumstance and asked to be seen at the Brooklyn office since I had taken a day off work to visit the doctor, I was informed that I would need to reschedule the appointment, but the Brooklyn office is unable to see me even though before, I relocated to Queens, I was a patient in the Brooklyn office.

I told the receptionist that it is not my fault that the office is closed because ZocDoc still lists one open appointment for today.the receptionist hung up on me. It was an awful situation. The front desk staff at both location have a history of racism.they treat their Russian speaking patients better than others. I'm switching doctors so I can get treatment for my migraines rather than have them get worse from dealing with such disrespectful people.

Amazing experience help me with my migraines. Introduced me to weekly magnesium treatments which helps me a lot with my migraine. Friendly front desk and very professional.

I visited Dr. Khelemsky 4 years ago, he is the best in his field, attentive to his patients, his diagnosis are always very correct which is proved by test results. In my case he diagnosed me and started immediate treatments, which avoided health problems and saved me. I’m more that thankful!

Front desk is rude, unprofessional, they don't know how to fix issues, they don't know computers, my electronic referral was there however they had a nerve to tell me they do not see it, ridiculous, as of result I had to leave and not seen by a doc who heard it and never step in. Would not recommend this office, there are plenty others who do care of patients

Very bad front desk personality very rude and unprofessional
very rude staff, do not answer patient's question properly. I beg the managers please of this office to change rude personality on the front desk, since we are visiting a neurologist and this affects our health.a girl named Elena did not want to answer my questions and said that she would not serve me because I did not know English, she was also rude to me on the phone saying that this is America and everyone should speak English. After I called several times she did not translate me into Russian speaking staff. I wanted to write a statement on her from the fact that she touched on the topic of the nation. I ask you to take the necessary measures regarding Elena, or I will have to write a statement to the police station.

I went today and didn’t have to wait long, the front desk was very helpful because I forgot my wallet which had my ID and some other important things like my insurance card. Luckily I had a picture of my card on my phone. I was very impressed with the tests ran on me. I seen two doctors, two techs and took multiple tests! Very informative and polite I really left better than when I came in. Thank you!

I don't recommend this place to anyone. (Even to my enemy.) Receptionists and stuff are not helpful and they are rude.
I would never recommend this office to anyone.
