Dr. Martin Schaeffer, Liverpool NY

Wonderful doctor! He takes the time to listen to my issues. Manages my ocular migraines. Decreased them from 8 to 1-2 per month with medication as needed. I also suffer from chronic neck pain. He set me up with Dr. Seo for trigger points which help for 6-9 months. I do get increased pain after the injections but usually goes away within a week or two. Thankful for Dr. Schaeffer and his practice.

I am never late for an appointment. And due to a mix-up with another appointment 20 minutes away which I take responsibility for - my fault, I hustled out and I tried calling and after going through the million prompts finally got a hold of somebody letting them know I'm going to be 20 minutes late. They do have a 15-minute policy but the extra 5 minutes apparently is earth-shattering. I have a followup appointment at another location next week that this appt would have tied into. I understand policy, but I asked if considering the circumstances they would still see me because I know they do not guarantee that I won't sit there for longer than 15 minutes, due to their inability to be flexible over 5 minutes, I will never go here.

If I could post no stars I would my wife was referred here do to this Dr being the best. She is a nurse of 10 plus years and asked some very valid questions in which he got very loud and refused to awnser her and canceled her appointment. Talk about a GOD complex and an ego bigger than the earth itself. Then we found out that she was discharged by HIS practice due to aggressive behavior during a visit. If she was so aggressive why were the cops not called? You my friend are the one that stormed out of the exam room with out answering her valid questions. Be prepared if you go here "I pray you dont" to stroke this man's ego because if you don't your thrown out like the trash that he sees you as.

Dr. Schaeffer has been treating me for a year now. He is compassionate and very knowledgeable in the medical field and excels in his specialty. I trust his advice and care along with the rest of his team. Caroline Berrios, FNP-BC, is caring, listens and has helped me as well. Everyone has been so nice.
I have my procedures done at his office, I have never liked needles and find his office quick and less stressful.
When I have called or left messages, the secretaries and nurses are prompt at returning calls and giving me answers. When I needed to be seen urgently, they got me in quickly. They give me clear information on procedures and I appreciate the calls to remind me of appointments. During covid protocols, the testing prior to procedures went smoothly.
I have been to other similiar specialists and felt like another number, where they don't listen or understand your pain.
