I remember all my mornings feeling like hell. Getting out of bed and walking to my bathroom in excruciating pain due to a Morton’s Neuroma was my life for a year. I tried all the recommendations of changing shoes, wearing inserts and cortisone shots but it didn’t work. My last option was a neurectomy but I was afraid. The chances of a stump neuroma was 20% and I heard that living with that pain was much worse. I thought I was going to live like this forever until I read about Dr. Miguel Cunha and his cryosurgery method. Cryosurgery had many benefits. It’s a minimally invasive surgery with a high efficacy rate. He treats patients around the world so I figured I had nothing to lose. He took my insurance which was a bonus. He explained the procedure in detail. It was a strange feeling to already feel hope and relieved that I found Dr. Cunha but it was true. I had cryosurgery and immediately after I felt 50 % better. Now almost 9 months later I feel like a I have a whole new foot. Completely pain free. I even signed up for the upcoming marathon. I never thought I would be able to do that again. I am so grateful of the doctor and staff that treated me and gave me my life back. A big thanks to Dr. Cunha and Gotham Footcare.

I went to Dr. Cunha after reading good reviews in places like this. After looking closer I see many people had the same experience I did. Slick office, nice staff, but Dr. Cunha did nothing to help my problem. In my first visit he said he would "cure" me as we progressed through 5 options. Turns out most of these options were pseudo therapies or in appropriate surgical interventions. When I asked him why he was recommending things other podiatrists said would be not help or be detrimental he was not able to offer logical explanations for why treatments would work. Appointments with him involved useless foot wrapping and political chit chat and very little about my progress. Visits to his office were more like a foot spa then medical treatment. He put useless braces on me to "try" and then charged me for them. When my insurance covered physical therapy sessions ran out the tone from him and his staff changed. It was my fault that I was not improving and I needed to go to a pain specialist before I returned. Since leaving his office I have found a podiatrist that had been able to give me real help. It is hard to find a good podiatrist. Unfortunately, the reviews I read about him were misleading.

I have had an irritating bunion for many years. I have suffered with wearing office shoes and changing into sneakers throughout the day. I was recommended by a trusted friend who had great results with Dr. Cunha. I had the surgical procedure with hesitation. I'm grateful to Dr. Cunha who took a keen interest in resolving my chronic problem. I am completely thrilled that I can now wear office shoes all day long without pain or having to change to sneakers during a normal office day. Dr Cunha was one of the best experiences I have ever had with a doctor, very professional and understanding and knowledge, he made me feel at ease and took the time to explain my procedure, did not feel like he was rushing off to see another patient during any procedure f my visits to to see him, never at anytime did I feel uncomfortable with him or his staff, they made me feel like family as well as answering all my wife’s questions and making her feel comfortable as well during my procedure. Wish Doctor Cunha was a doctor of all trades because I would just go to him for everything.

Dr. Cunha was very detailed and explained everything regarding my bunion surgery. He followed up with my recovery every week for six weeks to make sure I was recovering as predicted. Every time I had an office visit before and after surgery, I felt confident in his skill and comfort with his bedside manner.

I was treated for an ingrown toenail, nail fungus with a new procedure called ClearANail that got rid of it in less the time then laser and also plantar fasciitis. The facility is modern and clean. I have been going to Gotham Footcare for a little over a month and the treatment is working. Dr. Miguel Cunha is all the way incredible and human. Immediately felt comfortable with him and the treatment was spot-on. Many other podiatrists were not giving me the appropriate attention or care, and couldn't address my issue.
