Dr. Steven D. Rubin, MD - New Horizons Gastroenterologist, Garden City NY

It is difficult enough having gastrointestinal issues—difficult and a little embarrassing. However, Dr. Steven Rubin and his entire staff, made my visits as pleasant as possible. Dr. Rubin has mastered his bedside manner and has the ability to calm your worries and explain your concerns. Thank you Dr. Rubin and your most professional staff.

I have been under the care of another gastroenterolgist for about 16 years and decided to see Dr. Rubin. He has been wonderful! He is extremely thorough, and I has made me feel that he has a true concern for my ailments. His surgical facility is amazing. It feels like you are walking into a spa instead of a surgical place. And finally his staff is caring and helpful. I will recommend his services without any doubts.

I've been a patient of Dr. Rubin's for a number of years. He is personable and takes the time to explain any medical issues you have. The Star Suites ambulatory surgical center is amazing! The staff is courteous and efficient and the facility is very comfortable which takes away the anxiety of having a surgical procedure. I highly recommend Dr. Rubin!

For me personally Dr Rubins clerical staff is second to none. They were understanding as I went through an endoscopy as well as a colonoscopy. As soon as request went through to my insurance. Ginny called me with authorization number. Patty was super patient with all my questions.and I had many! As far as Dr Rubin is concerned, complete gentleman and a consumate professional. As it relates to the facility where the aforementioned procedures are done? I dare u to find a place like that. Everyone is professional and empathetic to your situation. The decor makes u think your in a five star hotel. I'm 51 and haven't been to a doctors in years. I would recommend Dr Rubin as well as his staff and star suites to anyone. God bless stay healthy!

I felt very comfortable when speaking with him. He was thorough, compassionate, and took all the time necessary to make me feel at ease.
After years of seeing different doctors for a medical issue, Dr. Rubin met with me, did necessary testing, and got to the root of the problem. I am finally feeling like myself again because of his diagnosis and treatment.
I would urge anybody looking for a gastroenterologist to see Dr Rubin first, eliminating the need to see anybody else afterwards.

Dr. Rubin is a superb doctor. I have been a patient for a few years now. I have been a patient of Dr. Steven Rubin for five years. He is the most caring doctor I’ve ever come across in a very long time. He truly cares about his patients and the medical care that they receive. He’s very thorough, and the biggest thing is that he actually listens to his patients and their concerns. His staff is equally as nice to.

I have been living with a diagnosis of IBS for 3 years, with no relief. Out of desperation, I made an appointment with Dr. Rubin for a second opinion. He was extremely thorough and wrote down everything I said. He sent me for some diagnostic testing and determined I have Exocrine Pancreatic Insufficiency. Not IBS! The treatment is to take a pill with each meal and snack- and like magic. NO PAIN. I am so grateful to him. I have my life back. I wanted to post this, hoping if you read this and suffer from gastro issues, you go see him. You won't be sorry.
BTW- Dr. Rubin also has a new surgery facility in Garden City that is gorgeous. It's worth a colonoscopy or endoscopy just to see I!

There isn't anyone else I would see than Dr. Rubin. He has taken care of me and my family for many years. During a time when the quality of healthcare seems to be waning, Dr. Rubin still shows the same level of dedication to his patient's health and overall wellbeing. It may be an overused expression, but he really does care.
