Duane Reade reviews
5Quite a convenient place to shop, but because of inflation there has also been a knock on effect with the rise in shoplifting. As a consequence, it takes longer to get items as you need assistance in order to retrieve them from the shelves.
I arrived at 7: 55pm today to the pharmacy that is advertised to be open until 8pm. It should have been an easy pick up before closing - i took a car from work to get there in enough time. I do not have time tomorrow to pick up my prescription and I am on a very specific treatment plan for an extremely sensitive medical condition.
Upon my arrival, the entire pharmacy was caged up/closed from the public and the pharmacist stared at me through the cage like she couldn’t hear me instead of offering me help in getting my prescription since it was not yet 8pm. Thank God i don’t have a life threatening illness, but need my prescription regardless.
I spoke to an associate who laughed at me when I started crying and the manager walked away. I understand if they want to save money on staffing and close at 7: 45pm, but it should be advertised as such so people can plan around it and get their medicine. Anything else is negligent behavior by a medical professional.
No one should be exposed to medical risk of interrupting their prescribed treatment plan so that the staff can leave 5 minutes early. The correct hours need to be updated, reflected and adhered to. This is a life safety issue.
Mr. Alex was a good customer service assistant he was very helpful with what I needed to find and did all he can to get the products I needed, he’s such a good helper
Visited there on a trip and Mr. Albert, went above and beyond to help me find the items that I required. I truly believe world would be a nicer place if more people were like him. I hope he receives the appreciation and recognition he deserves.
Pharmacy staff is extremely unprofessional. Tried to give me the wrong prescription. Told me my insurance had denied my medicine but they were reading from a completely different insurance request. Either gave me incorrect information about medicine shortage or lied to my face, because every time I went there was a “state wide shortage” only for my exact prescription. When I changed it and went back the next day the “state wide shortage” which has no coverage online was now for the new prescription, the old one was in stock, but they don’t save old prescriptions so they deleted it. I have no more medicine and it has been a week plus of this. Someone needs to teach these guys how to do their jobs.
