Dutchess Family Court, Poughkeepsie NY

Called about status of case multiple times, only to finally be told it was dismissed for no one showing up. I told rude receptionist I never received notice in mail and she starts yelling at me about date it was mailed. Even though I had previously called (after the date she claimed) and was told it still hadn't been mailed. I told her the fact is that they never successfully mailed to me because I never received it and she hangs up on me like someone's bothering her when its not her court case. All she has to do is clerical tasks and act civil but she obviously hates her job so treats it unprofessionally. The whole situation, the lack of accountability, the utter unprofessionalism, its all a ridiculous mockery of justice.

One star is too much, the service is very Awful, you have to have $$$$$$. The Lawyers and all services are terrible.

The absolute WORST. They moved my court date multiple times WITHOUT NOTICE. When I e-mail for information I get one word/sentence responses that do not answer any of my questions. When I call for more info not only do the clerks have the WORST attitude (downright nasty/rude individuals), but I get placed on hold indefinitely without anyone picking up.

All of my cases in the family court have been closed by now.

Starting around 1997 was the first time I had to deal with them without a lawyer and surprise, the magistrate cornered me into illegal agreements for support and care expenses that put me 27.5% below the poverty limit for the State, totally off the record.

I had to deal with them on multiple occasions over the years after my first appearance there for various harassments and had other ridiculous and definitely illegal experiences with their magistrates which ended in 2012.

My problems with them aside, if you are reading this, try as hard as you both can to come to a legal agreement between yourselves through mediation or lawyers; without the Court’s involvement. FAMILY COURT SHOULD BE A LAST RESORT!

Between the Dutchess Family Court and their own internal corruption combined with the Dutchess County Support Collection Unit and their corruptions, getting involved with these folks has a very large possibility to actually destroy you and your family’s lives.

If you have to go, make sure you have a lawyer.

Staff is very rude and unhelpful. The judge sent out a support order and never signed it, now the other state is waiting for a SIGNED support order, two requests have been sent to this courthouse and not one has been acknowledged. Not even a way for custodial parent to tell if payments been made and when this order will be completed, CORRECTLY and, sent back.

Called to find out my court date while on the road. Get told that this is a confidential court. Court dates are supposed to be public information. Get of your high and mighty horses. Absolutely unprofessional.

As any lawyer protests concern, sympathy, maybe even pity who knows. However, when there is no party to represent themselves she minimizes the severity because at the end of the day she is looking for a vote, not justice. Talking with her if you get ahold of her, there is no constant but a ton a conversations that lead you into circles. If she doesn’t get voted again maybe she will get a Grammy for her acting. Who knows. Frank Chase was another addition in deciphering the man that killed my mother could get away with it, even after having a black and white scenario in their face. There motive is to finish cases, hope for a vote when realistically I did a tremendous amount of work looking to help the case that they were very lazy the entire time. They even unexplainably gave a murder, that killed my mother the opportunity to withdraw his plea, UNDER OATH. This is the world we live in, and they are abusers as well looking for the easy way out not the right/honest way. They have to live with themselves, I provided more evidence than they could act on and they have a full career doing this, but they really do nothing. No one lifted a finger to give it the time of day. The person in control of accessing computer data, had to show him how to do his own job. You are not receiving special treatment from these people, it’s a simple act, they do not care about you. Entertainment is what you are until they manage to void the truth, or lack listening or learning. The goal is to solidify the circumstances despite the reality, only to close the case at everyone else’s convenience. I very well emphasized to go to trial, and it’s an inconvenience to everyone else so I got over ruled by people designated to protect my mothers rights to life, people/lawyers/representation on my mothers behalf that were not hired as that would’ve never happened. Kristine was doing a job as another ‘assignment, ’ ‘statistic’ that needed to be completed, while leaving myself, the daughter to ponder or even care to know the truth. Many unexplainable questions I’ll never have answered, I did all the dirty work, they are a big useless team.

As a court watch and National advocate I am appalled by the abuse of families and utter disrespect, irresponsible decisions. Lies and false allegations run wild by public servants. Abuse to children and families.

The worst the civil service employees you will ever have to deal with crooked and unprofessional.
