7Good place to be while looking for housing. Spencerport community is amazing with their support. Don't believe the sour grapes reviews. This place is great!
I took dinner over for about 10 and no one answered the door and when a lady arrived she was NOT friendly at all. Don't think I will do this again. If people volunteer to work at someplace like this they need to show a little appreciation for what others do to help.
I love this place Because they serve veterans when they need them most. I became homeless a few weeks ago by a vindictive woman and had no place to go and my va doctor told me about the program and put me in contact with Eagle star and now I have a place to eat and sleep. The program has a 90 day limit I believe. I will only be ther for maybe a month. I am happy that a veteran does not have to sleep in a car or on the street.
It's been a great aide for my Son. He's been able to straighten out his life, and change his outlook on life.

Having worked at Eagle Star over 4 months I was shocked to experience what a sham this not for profit organisation is. The main objective, keep the beds full thats how the owner gets paid! I was unable to be part of something so inept and fake.
The Spencerport program manager Bill works so hard collecting donations and raising awareness to help support the veterans that live here.
