East River Ferry reviews
7 Coolest public transit option in NYC - it’s very clean and has beautiful views. It was really neat and an experience more than it is practical for getting around efficiently.
I went on the East River Route and South Brooklyn route. Each ferry had a restroom, bar, rooftop seating, and many seating options on the main deck. The employees were all really kind.
The only thing that would make it better is if I could have used my metro card to get on. It was $4 a ticket and it included one transfer. I was able to pay within the “NYC Ferry” app which made boarding really simple, they just scan your pass on your phone.
East River Ferry, hacer un paseo en el Ferry es lo Máximo Disfrutas el Paisaje como Nunca.
If you intend to head over to Manhattan, use the ferry as it is not overly expensive as compared to walking across Brooklyn bridge as the bridge is generally very crowded during summer.
If you miss a ferry, the wait can be quite long and there is no shelter. Ideally bring shades and wear sunscreen.
Best $2.75 i spent in NYC. We took the ferry from roosevelt island down to DUMBO right after sunset. A really different view, that not every tourist will see
Staff was friendly, ferry weren't too clean
Employees in the front are Super Rude not helpfull whats so ever. Nasty hire people that care and treat you like a human
Worst customer service and schedule. Do not go there, it’s better to use Uber
The worst service ever. Last Saturday had to stay on the line around 40 minutes to get to the ferry entrance, stuff said - activate tickets prior boarding and I did it right before boarding. And when I was entering the gate they said that they have “no mask no service” policy. But they DID NOT mention anywhere (sign, tickets, etc) that they require this policy! I had to run to the closest place around with masks available, and once I came back the ferry was gone and they said that I need to stay again in the line (which was about 50 minutes just to get to the ferry). They should mention it before people are getting to the line. I lost my tickets and had ruined evening.
I also do not understand what the point is to wear a mask in a ferry, even on planes mask policy is cancelled and this is something really weird.
