East River Plaza reviews
12Funny how they charge for parking here and not at most locations with the exact same stores all across America
If you're local you go here because it's close. The lines are usually long, the staff in the few surviving stores are short on patience and commonly unknowledgable. So if you want to search aisles for basic things because you have time to waste then this is your place! If quality customer service 0and in-stock items is what you're looking for this is not the place for you.
Best feature is the parking. That said.if your going to Costco and spending in excess if 100$ (which is very easy to do) I feel that your parking should be validated, or at least discounted significantly.
It's right across the bridge and there's everything from a supermarket to Costco and from Marshalls to Burlington Coat Factory, etc.
A quick visit. I went with someone who was there to shop. One of the stores Costco had a real long line, the time of day was midday and mid week. The other stores we shopped at the lines and the crowd was not so bad.
With Powell being the homeless hub, it is funny what East does. They recently hired security to monitor the homeless from coming directly in from Market St and the underground Powell MUNI station, however; nothing is stopping the homeless from walking in from Bloomingdales and just crossing over.
Elevators and escalators need to be repaired constantly not enough eateries and needs more store openings
First visit to East River Plaza, I went with someone there, so I wasn't there to tour the place. The places we went was really crowded. The lines were long and moved slow. It was mid afternoon and the middle of the week.
Big mall with Costco target and Aldi's can't go wrong with those.stores ur guaranteed to find exactly what your looking for
I've come for the clothes, skincare, and makeup. Anything you need and want, this place probably has a store to cover it. When hungry, there's so many places to dine at (food court on the bottom floor and another area under the dome). My favorite being Bake Cheese Tarts (from Japan) and Beard Papas.
The location is also super convenient so if you don't see something you like there's plenty of other areas to shop within walking distance.
The escalators are often out of service. Both Marshalls and Burlington's don't have much of a selection (even Pre-COVID) and Old Navy is gone. If it weren't for Costco, Aldi, Planet Fitness and Target, I wouldn't step foot in this mall.
