Edge Auto Rental, Brooklyn NY

Poor experience in a one day rental. Have had success before but being double charged as we speak and they are unwilling to adjust. Very disappointed.

Booked refer van 1and half months in advance I called 2 days b4 pickup and was assured everything was fine. The day b4 schedule pickup received call stating because of routine maintenance no refer vehicles were available, causing me to spend next 18 hrs looking in the tri state area for a vehicle, no luck leads me back to edge. Who only have a more expensive non refrigerated vehicle available. No competition could be given and was charge 407$ additional to the higher paid price. Not to mention the 6 coolers that had to be purchased to keep product cool. Never again. Stay away from this place!

Worst customer service in the world it’s sad to see a business run this way it’s sad, on the other hand there was a very helpful man on the phone! But that lady is terrible and clearly hates her life and job it’s just sad if I had a business and I hired individuals to treat my customers like the homeless people

This place is the worst - overcomplicated, very poor customer service. You're much better off going to CCs. Don't waste your time.

I’ve been trying to reach this business for the past 2 months. One of their trucks backed up into my car causing major damages. The driver didn’t bother to call the police to file a report instead they left a note with fake call back information. Till this day I have not heard from anyone from this business to assist with this issue.

The worse service. I paid more than another company and they never told us that. I never rent there again.

UNRELIABLE - UNPROFESSIONAL & RUDE. Booked a truck two weeks in advance for tomorrow’s large catering event, fully prepaid - only to find out by accident that they canceled the booking cause they just run out of trucks. Not even a phone call or an email to let us know! DO NOT HIRE THEIR SERVICES.

Professional customer service. Nice trucks. Tip: make a video of before and after pick up / return (just in case).

One of best truck company in entire New York city, very helpful customer service especially Miss Hannah she is so friendly and very fast responder, setting up a new account is very easy and price are so good, instead of Garbage UHaul, Edge Auto Rental is very best. I really recommend this service.

Smooth rental: fast and easy pick up and drop off. It’s a bit more expensive than U-Haul if you are moving from and to a small distance but I wasn’t charged extra fees, the 103$ (incl.tax) for a standard cargo van are for 24h and 100miles which gives a lot of freedom and the employees were super nice. The van was used and not in the best condition but everything was functional (easy to drive, AC worked, didn’t consume a lot of gas) which is all you need when you move.

I have just recently found Edge through a friend of mine. I rented a minivan for a family vacation. I just have to say that customer service was really nice and friendly.i asked them so many questions but they were helpful.the vehicle was in great condition.the whole thing went off without a hitch.will definitely use you guys again in the future.

Hate to give bad reviews but unfortunately we got the worst unexpected experience yesterday.
I own a tour company in NYC and we take trips upstate every weekend and we decided to try Edge for the first time.
We got charged twice the price we agreed on with hidden fees. Over $500 for a day, this is insane. Which is basically 2 days rentals on any other company in the city.

I had a very poor experience with Edge. I was charged $172 for a gas charge, which is insane, and we even tried to fill the tank before arrival but couldn’t figure out how to get it filled. The gas tank was rejecting any gas we tried to put in, even the attendant couldn’t figure it out. I think Edge could’ve done better explaining how the vehicle works, and also I think 172 is ridiculous for a gas charge considering it only costs 50 at most to fill the whole tank. Never using this company again. 500 to rent a vehicle with all the hidden charges.
