Edible Academy, NYBG reviews
13We were lucky enough to be there for a live cooking show. I learned how to make a flavorful tofu and salsa. Very cool! Also love the veggie patches and the seed room with the microscopes.
The tour of the botanical garden was very interesting, the children really liked it.
Now they are begging to come here again.)
Go if you get the chance.such a delightfully educational experience -you'll easily forget you're in the Bronx!
It's perfect to enjoy the entire year! Week after week you can find something different and beautiful! ️My favorite place in the Bronx
Made tea bags, tried some quick collards (not my speed but its nice to be able to try new things), and tried some edible plants like this flower that tastes like a really mild pepper. It was really interesting and i think everyone should visit this gem
Family had a great time. Kids enjoyed playing in the dirt and searching for worms. We were able to desihn bags as well.
Cool kid-focused area of the NYBG. They do cooking demos with ingredients grown right there and have planters that are managed by local kids.
Beautiful edible garden and welcoming staff. Go to their Wednesday and other days' recipe and tastings at 2 and 4 PM! Drop in
Learned about cooking with plants, watered the plants, got a free starter herb plant, decorated a tote bag, and made a tea bag with hibiscus flowers, cinnamon, ginger, and cloves.
It was a very educational experience for the children. I went on a class trip. The children learned about gardening and how to plant and take care of them. Beautiful flowers and trees all around.
I really enjoyed myself yesterday at the Botanical Garden I got alot of insight on the connection that I had just being there was enjoyable. I'm looking forward to returning.
The lady working there was nice. Good customer service. Helped my 2 year old daughter have some fun activities in gardening. Allow parent to take over and help their kids explore the environment.
We were celebrating my daughter's 12th birthday with a trip to the NYBG to see the Kusama art collection. The tram stopped at the family garden and we decided to hop off. I'm so glad we did. It was one of my daughter's favorite parts of the day. It's a totally hands-on experience. There were so many activities to choose from. She chose to dig for bugs, do a scavenger hunt, and plant lettuce to take home.
The garden staff were super friendly and knowledgeable.
