This place was an absolute slam dunk! Amazing Spanish food for good prices and when I went the atmosphere was super laid back. Unbelievable service, got our food in probably less than 15 minutes and the staff was very nice. Highly recommend!

-Good presentation, good flavor. Guacamole needed a little salt but it was fresh and almost perfect. It was served in the tiniest container which made it hard to dip the chips in though.
-Good wings.
-Coconut mojito was OK but there was no mint at all in it?
-Burrito bowl was served in a tasty fried tortilla chip situation and that was delicious.
-Affordable!

Best frozen pomegranate margaritas! Food is excellent. Juxtaposed with friendly bartenders. An East Village gem.

It was better pre pandemic. Servers would benefit from education on tequila quality basics. Food was decent.

Mid mid mid mid mid mid mid mid mid

i grew up in LA everything about this place is mid

tacos are bland and underseasoned, if youve been to a real taqueria before this place will not hit

the good tacos im used to are a dollar or 2, the ones here are at least 3 if not 4 (also they dont taste very good)

Ive never tried the drinks but apparently theyre great, so if ur a drunk tourist looking for an underseasoned overpriced meal and some tequila on a saturday night this place will probably be perfect for you Sorry if this review comes off mad salty im only annoyed that my neighborhood mexican place is so mid

Great little restaurant! Chimichangas were awesome! Margaritas were a slight let down as they tasted like those pre mix kind. But still a great place

So my friend and I came in for a quick bite. We ordered nachos and beef chimichangas. The food came out fast which was exciting but somehow already cold. How does that even happen. My $18 chimichunga was soggy and cold and i thank god i was starving enough to scarf it down and not whine to the waitress. The waitress was cold as well with a rude vibe from the moment I came in. I get we weren’t ordering much and not getting drunk but girl we were so friendly and you were so rude! Like what is with the mean vibe likeeeee? !? ! So disappointed and will not be returning unless i’m magically rich and need to blackout on a $30 large sized margarita (served with attitude) (Notably after mentioning the quality of the food we got sangria that tasted deliciously watered down) Wishing i didn’t tip even thought it 18%…. Like get ur bag but u hurt my feelings miss rude.

Nice atmosphere, good service but it was the playlist for me -semi old school hip-hop! The food - decent I had the pastor and cod fish tacos. They were good but I don't think I've had the best on the menu. The medium sized margaritas and sangria was a decent price and. I definitely will invest another visit to this spot -word is bond!

It may not look like your upscale Mexican restaurant you find in Union Square or SoHo, but the service and food are just as good here, if not better (and more reasonably priced). El Camion’s dark decor gives a more dive bar vibe and they do in fact serve up a strong margarita, but I’m here to eat. We ordered the chips and guacamole, steak fajitas, yucca fries, and braised pork shoulder. Chips and guacamole easily fall short at some spots, but there’s just enough salt and lime juice in the guac that balances this one. The chips weren’t too salty and they offered enough chips (we all know that’s always an issue).

The steak fajitas, sautéed with peppers and onions and served with 4 warm flour tortillas, also came with yellow rice and black beans. I highly recommend this dish. The steak was well seasoned, cooked medium rare, and was juicy and tender.

The braised pork shoulder had a tomato based sauce (not what I expected), but was delicious. The meat easily fell apart and was very tender.

The yucca fries were great. Crispy and included a side of guacamole and salad.

If you’re looking for a solid Mexican spot with more than just tacos, go here.

Came here with friends. The vegetarian tacos were a nice flavor-packed meal that had a lovely mix of squash, peppers, and beans! We had a great time and the service was wonderful.

Great Service, excellent food and amazing drinks.
The staff are very friendly and welcoming. The meal is well seasoned and the drinks are mixed to perfection. The price isn't bad either. Besides being one of the best Mexican restaurant in New York, they have amazing chicken wings! Try it you won't regret it.

Jesus Christ, the food here is superb. <3 Great, fast service, not super crowded, but a large number of the faces were Latin, which was a signal that the food would be legit. Elevated food with an elegantly simple, not-fancy atmosphere. The food isn't CHEAP, but it's also not expensive, especially for the Lower East Side.

This is our new favorite Mexican place, hands-down.

Such a cute neighborhood spot! Came here with my friend who is vegetarian and she found lots of options. She loved the vegetarian taco. We both loved the margs!
