El Paso Taqueria reviews
13 Fantastic lunch + drinks today! I've eaten here years ago, and was thrilled to eat here again. Two of us enjoyed the outdoor dining in the milder weather, and ordered off the Lunch Special menu:
-1 chicken empanada- wow! Outstanding, especially with the sauce
- carne asada burrito bowl
- Omelett con frijoles & aquacate, perfectly crunchy yet soft veggies + Spinach to complement the eggs, this was awesome!
-Margarita, on the rocks, as recommended by our friendly helpful server
-Paloma
This was a perfect spot for a fresh and very tasty lunch today!
The staff seemed nice enough, but I'd give this a miss.
There are lots of great mexican places in NYC, and this is not one of them. Not great food, and not great prices. If you're paying $24 for a burrito, you expect something that's better than "meh".
Also, not many vegetarian options, which seems crazy because it's so easy to offer the same dishes without meat.
I had zero expectations coming to this place after spontaneously making the decision to give it try from the simple fact that my boyfriend and I were hungry. He and I were taken by surprise at how good the food tasted from the chips and guacamole with salsa to the appetizers to the main meal. On top of that, the service was on point. I haven’t had authentic Mexican food like this since I lived with my mother 10 years ago.
I highly recommend this spot if you are craving good Mexican food.
Mexican food was real, fresh and traditional specially Beria Tacos
Lutha the European waitress was so helpful and open for dishes illustration.kitchen staff was local pros
I totally recommend you to have a quick bite there
Portions were on the smaller side for a torta, and the lemonade was a little bitter for my personal taste.
Food took a little long to come out even though the place was not full. Also came out dripping with grease. Not the most appealing. Maybe it was bad luck with the tortas, try something else if you go.would recommend to go to a mexican restaurant in a mexican neighborhood though!
Always great food, best to eat on location then delivery and take-out. But food is always good!
Didn't enjoy the octopus or the shrimp tacos - there was hardly any octopus or shrimp in it. Magaritas and piña colada were decent.
Enjoyed this place for a quick bite. Service was quick. Prices were pretty good. Front of the establishment was open to the street with the nice weather which is ok if you're into semi- al fresco.
That hit the spot. Delicious food and strong drinks. Lovely outdoor seating, and the indoor area is completely open to the outside.
Good burritos, tacos, and chicken.
Great Service, Authentic Mexican food, really delicious, if You’re looking for great drinks and food this is the spot. Love that they have Happy Hour Mon-Friday 3pm-6pm
Amongst the good Mexican restaurants in NYC in its price range. My wife and I are definitely going again soon.
Food was delicious, but it lacks service. It was hard to find the server to order more drinks.
I got two tamales and an horchata. The Horchata was nice, the tamales were dry and tasted microwaved ️. Prices aren't bad but the table service was neglectful, she clearly doesn't want to work there, or she just really didn't want to serve us.
