El Sazon De Olga reviews
13I ordered delivery and my regular yellow rice had corn included. The beans undercooked. Tasted better Spanish food than this. Won’t order here again.
OMG! The best cheese mofongo I've ever had! Soft and soooo flavorful! And the garlic and red sauce for it was amazing too! Also the pollo asado was soooo good! The phone service for delivery was so nice and professional as well! And they delivered my food nice and hot with minimum wait.which is rare now in days! Next time the delivery guy is getting double tip! I'm a self-proclaimed food critic because I've rated just about all restaurants in NYC and I Highly recommend!
The experience you’ll have highly depends on whether your dining in or getting takeout. Sitting down and eating there can be a little unpleasant, especially during the karaoke night. It gets loud, like you could lose hearing loud. The bar area in the back is also extremely tiny. However the 5 stars they’ve rightly earned are based off of a large catered order and numerous takeout orders. The food is tremendous, the pernil was moist and tender. It also wasn’t drowning in a sea of oil and grease like so many other places do. The espaguetis was another strong dish. Many people at my event never had it before, and are obsessed with it now. My go to Spanish spot for Castle Hill and any other surrounding areas.
WS waiting more then a half hour for my take out people who they knew were in and out left without the food will never go back
Its a long wait but well worth it. Food is extremely great and flavourful. Trust me you will need a shortly after.
This place is dirty and has a bad odors. Este sitio da asco. Dios mío no vallan ahí. Sucio y apesta.
Don't go here between 3pm and 6pm as they don't have much options in terms of food. After 6pm they start to bring out the good stuff. At least that's what I've noticed. The food here is great for the price.
A nice quiet place with tasty food and treats. The people are also nice a friend. The place is clean
Good experience for me.
New owners, Best authentic Dominican food. We always make time to come eat here. Highly recommend coming if you are in New York.
I've eaten in the restaurant and placed orders for delivery. My favorite used to be the shrimp pastelitos. Whenever I dined in, they were chocked full of shrimp and delicious.
The last four times I ordered them for delivery (and I'm ordering a dozen or more each time) they've mainly been large pockets of overly salty, fried dough, with only 3-4 shrimp inside each one. They started off strong but have lost their appeal. I can't see me ordering these anymore.
This was the worst experience ever. I ordered food on Wednesday night and it took over an hour for my food to be delivered even though I was literally 5 blocks away! But the worst part is that they stole money from me. They charged me an additional $12. When I called to dispute the charge, they stated it was “tax”. I told them the receipt i got had the tax included so then they said it was the fee for the credit card machine. I work at a bank so i know that no merchant service charge $12 for cc fee. And to top it all off, they didn’t not refund me my money. I spoke to the same lady, Loli, who i placed the order with and she was very rude.
Very tasty Dominican food and lots of options to choose from the only thing that you have to be sure when you make a order by phone is to be sure that the person who’s taking your order takes it correctly or you will ended-up taking to your house an incomplete order just make sure when you pickup your order that is the way you ask for other than that the food here is delicious also if you order big orders like for a party or family reunion they will be very overpriced for family reunion or parties I will recommend the Dos Mares Restaurant in Manhattan really inexpensive and also a good amount of food for a little price
Watch your receipt they will steal from you blindly. I purchased 3 mango for breakfast being advertised at $4.99 each. I paid with my debit card, I was given the receipt to sign however, I notice the lady was covering the total printed. I signed and asked her to let me see something. The total was $27.09 she said that I was being changed for using the the debit machine. I returned and saw the manager. She said sorry she probably charged you for a large order. I am sorry I was told
