Greek Restaurant Elea reviews
18A great find, just off Broadway on the UWS. Greek/Mediterranean cuisine. Excellent choice for a special night out or a business dinner. A bit pricey though.
Fabulous service and food. The skordalia is out of this world, and the lychee martini was one of the best I’ve had.
My husband and I reserved dinner for a special occasion and it did not dissapoint. Andrew, George and the team we soooo accomodating, thoughtful and attentive. The baklava and the octopus are out of this world! We will continue to come back and make this a regular spot. If you're on the Upper West Side it is not to be missed!
We waited and waited and waited for service at Elea after ordering two diet Cokes as we scanned the menus. A half-hour later my daughter finally approached the hostess and asked for the server and our drinks. So began an awful evening at this place. We were sitting at the covered dining area on the sidewalk that barely had any customers at around 6 p.m. Regardless, the staff sat a poor elderly couple - one of them infirmed - just inches from us. Both of us complained and we were moved to another table. I see the other reviews about the delicious food. I was famished so I cannot fairly say if our meals were any good. Maybe that is the strategy. With all the wonderful places to dine in NYC, it is sad to see we wasted our time and money dining here.
Sat at the bar and had wonderful service and recommendations, I would come back just for the dips and the octopus!
The best Greek restaurant in NYC!
The dishes are delicious, Beautiful ambience and great service!
Is a Michelin Guide modern Greek restaurant with great ambience. The restaurant offers a bar at the entrance with ample seating indoors and outdoor.
We were here for brunch, ordered the Benedicts and Lamb. I don't eat lamb but, apparently it was great. I did enjoy my Benedicts. Service was fast and friendly. I would recommend this restaurant. If you are in the area, do give it a try.
Note, they do offer drink specials for Brunch
Obsessed! Their food is incredible! Loved the shrimp and halibut! Great decor and energy. We sat at the bar and the bartender was so nice. Would eat here everyday if I could.
Amazing cocktails, service, spreads and apps (meatballs especially). Mediocre to disappointing entrees. Also not sure that loud disco house music is the right choice.
One of the last, if not the last, real Greek restaurants in the neighborhood. Had the chance to go there for the first time, and was delighted with the food. But it also gets quite crowded and noisy, because it is apparently very popular, so it’s best to choose a time when it’s less busy if you want a more relaxing atmosphere.
Nice space, classy service, food was.fine. Both fish dishes we tried needed more flavor or salt or lemon or something. Dips were tasty and pita was great.
Only as compared to other Mediterranean places: lamb chops were okay, fried zucchinis were okay (but dry), and they were a bit pushy about us not ordering wine (we just weren't drinking at the time). The fish was okay as well, small for it's price and better whole fish options in other places.
Came here for a baby shower brunch recently- Excellent service, quality food and loved the atmosphere. Would come back
Some of the dishes were excellent, a couple were only so-so. Water was cold and our glasses rapidly refilled. Bread was delicious. Good selection of vegetarian options. As more tables were filled with diners, the service slowed down. Tables also seemed a bit close in this era of Covid awareness. We sat indoors because of the heat, but there was lovely outdoor seating available.
This is the little pearl of Himara’s restoration. It is a pretty small restaurant located on the hills of Himare where you can enjoy an amazing view, delicious food and a super calm atmosphere.
The food was delicious, we took (on waiter suggestion) the ficus salad (simply amazing), kataifi cheesestikcs, Octopus and traditional orzotto lamb + 2 glasses of wine and 1 bottle of water, for the total of 4K lek
Highly recommended, I suggest to book in advantage because there are not too many tables.
Here for Saturday brunch. Really good chicken souvlaki and shrimp orzotto! Both tasty and flavorful. Service was great and attentive! Would definitely come back to try more dishes.
(updated below) I was here for brunch. I don't know how dinner service is but hopefully better than brunch. Food was ok. Not great, not bad, just OK. Typical for NYC, everything on the menu was a little expensive but I'm sure the rent on that restaurant is astronomical.
Update:
Increased to 4 stars. We went back for dinner and it was a whole new experience. The food was very good as was the service. I'm glad I had an opportunity to try this restaurant again.
