Electric Burrito reviews
16So I’m open to this place being totally reasonable most of the time, but I was pretty disappointed with my burrito here. It was straight up lukewarm/cold, all of the ingredients, especially at the center. I was told the cheese and pico are meant to be cold which makes sense, but the burrito wrap, fries, and chicken were also lukewarm / cold (and I opened it as soon as I got it). I went home and reheated mine.
Burrito was good but the register woman who took my order looked and sounded miserable, I was going to tip on takeout but opted not to when she seemed to hate her job while asking me what I wanted. Won’t be returning.
It was love at 1st bite of my Johnny Utah Burrito! It is flavorful and delicious! I stopped eating it to leave this review. The man who took my order was super professional and kind. I recommend this spot nestled between a taqueria and a sandwich place near the corner of 1st Ave.
I just had the most unpleasant experience. The girl at the register with glasses and a yellow clip in her hair was extremely rude. I didn’t hear her ask for my name to place on the order when I was paying and she literally yelled at me. Then when I got my food I said thank you and she literally rolled her eyes, ignored me, and turned around after making a face. The place was a slow Wednesday afternoon. I've gone here for years and have never had this experience with the young men working up front. I’ve posted a photo of the girl so management can get involved.
I dont usually leave reviews, but this place is definitely in the Top 3 Burritos of NYC. 10/10, Recommend
This place serves up some powerhouse California style burritos that are definitely five star! Come hungry because these are packed but so full of flavor. I got the chorizo breakfast burrito and it was excellent. I was a big unsure of adding fries to a burrito but it was a nice addition - and again, made it even more filling. If I had one small complaint, it’s that a place serving “breakfast burritos” should open before 11am.
It's like I've never eaten a real burrito until now. This treasure of sauce and toppings was so electrically good I think I have been introduced to new color spectrums now. I was vaguely skeptical but once I bit into that fine fine wrap I knew I had a new favorite burrito place that wiped the floor with all prior competitors. When I went in someone had ordered a catering order of 100 burritos. That's like $1.5k in burritos. I get it now. Worth my salary in delicious toasty goodness. Also they played Rage Against the Machine. I think I'm in love with a restaurant now. Someone hold me.
Great socal style burritos! I'd get the California burrito again the shrimp one had a bit too much refried beans
Very good spot close to me. I originally wrote it off after having the portobello burrito which I thought was bland. Few months later I stopped in again and was surprised by the veggie breakfast burrito. Have been going weekly since.
Wish they were open earlier in mornings. Also it's not really comfortable to eat in so it's really a takeout only spot.
Perfect for that late night craving. Loved how the breakfast burritos are available any time. The burritos are massive and worth the price.
It's hard to find good burritos in New York. This is the first place I've had that is on par with what you would find at a good burrito spot in California (speaking as someone who grew up there). Nice to finally know where to go!
Worst place to get delivery, don't do it.
Food is good. Can't believe they charge extra for carne asada though.
Really fat burritos but so so good. Don’t expect to be sitting there and eating especially during popular lunch or dinner hours. Tiny space.
Nice little place that makes amazing burritos. They put chips in them which makes the difference. Their hot sauce is also lovely
Decent burrito option, the space is small, with some counter seating that works but prepared to be crushed by a flood of delivery drivers while you're in there. I got a california burrito with carne asada, and I couldn't really taste the carne asada very much, would probably choose chicken or pork if I were to go back. Service was quite quick and had water available which is a nice plus.
Great burritos, especially for the price and you definitely don’t have to worry about small portions here.
I prefer the chicken over the other meat options. Pork is good, but beef is always a bit tough. Also would not recommend the loaded fries, stick with the burritos.
