Love Dr. Dexter & Roswell. The Place is well organized and ran very efficiently. They genuinely are concerned about their patients and there food is the best. I recommend Dr. Dexter & Roswell highly, their the best.

Dr. Elisabeth Dexter is an outstanding and caring surgeon. She is always available to me and straightforward with her assessments and feedback regarding my condition, without sugarcoating her message, to include when the news is not great, and that I am not happy to hear.

I had my 10 hour gastro-esophageal surgery in August and am cancer free per my last 90 day scan. Recovery has been a challenge and that is not her fault. I can't begin to imagine the burden related to being a thoracic surgeon at a comprehensive cancer institute like Roswell where negative patient outcomes are common.

Cancer and the negative impact of invasive cancer surgery just sucks and has been a difficult experience for me. My cancer was caught early-on and I should survive, although with long-term side effects for the rest of my life. If you are diagnosed with Cancer, get a surgeon that communicates the unvarnished truth to you balanced with the goal of keeping you as positive as possible. It is easy to blame the surgeon when things don't go well.try not to do that but also be open to 2nd opinions, which I have not had to do.

Dr. Dexter is a wonderful surgeon and person.god bless her.

Excellent Doctor, Excellent Care!
I live ~200 miles away from Buffalo, and it's a real chore to get to see Doctor Dexter for any necessary follow-ups so we've been depending on one of our doctors down here. During one such visit recently, that particular Doc, whom I do respect and is an excellent doctor in his own right and in his own discipline, came right out and asked me, saying, "The stage 3 cancer you've recovered from is normally fatal, and we don't see many patients pull through it to the point you're at right now. "
I said, (and I really believe it) "That's because I have Dr. Dexter, a Doctor who genuinely cares, heading up my team! "

Dr. Dexter, and her team were amazing, I had a successful surgery, She is compassionate and caring. Dr. Demy also assisted, he is incredible too. I recommend Dr. Dexter& Dr. Demyand the thoracic team at Roswell park in Buffalo NY. Forever greatful.

Dr Dexter is empathetic and explains why you are there and the results in layman's terms, not medical terms. This makes for a much better understanding of the issues. Would greatly recommend!

Dr. Dexter performed my lung surgery 11/30/22. Lung cancer is very scary and Dr Dexter made me and my wife feel at ease and well informed at what i faced. She calmly looked me in the eye and said “I’m going to take care of you” and that’s exactly what she did. My outcome was excellent thanks to Dr Dexter and the staff at Roswell Park. We are blessed to have such a great Doctor and facility such as Roswell in our area.
