Ellen's Stardust Diner reviews
16My wife was begging to go here and Honestly it was a blast. Highly recommended for anyone visiting
Very good experience! It is a place set in the 50s. I had known it 12 years ago and it had surprised me a lot! Now I saw it a little neglected.but even so. I still recommend it! Their burgers are very good! And the attention of your staff is wonderful! They all sing and very well! It's worth going even once! And you're on Broadway!
While you eat something, the same people who serve you sing!
Applause guys!
One of the best dinners we had in New York.
We went around 8 p.m. And there was a rush, but it was moving very quickly.
The food is good, but the show you see while you dine is priceless, you feel like you're in a movie.
To highlight Ryan's attention, in addition to singing great, he was super friendly, detailed, and all with a smile.
Highly recommended.
A fantastic diner with great food and entertainment. If you love music you'd be crazy not to visit!
I had a Philly cheesesteak that they make sound good on the menu description but it sucked and the margaritas I had were $20 each for a cup full of ice. I paid almost $80 before I left and left like I was swindled out of my money. Plus they put in a 20% gratuity tip on my receipt all the way in the bottom that I didn’t see until after I left because I was supposed to pay 60 something instead of the 80 I gave them. Singing was ok but with confetti landing in my food from some of the performances I left feeling insulted that they charge that much for mediocre service and food. I definitely wouldn’t recommend this place to a friend
Amazing experience! We loved it so much that we had to visit twice, which is against our traveling Foodie rule. The performing servers are amazing, really up there with what you'll see on Broadway. They are all so nice, friendly, and talented. Definitely a must try, especially if you're a musical theater fan.
The place is really nice and fun.with the singers and all. The idea is great. However, I had very bad experience with one of the waiters (the one in the picture below). He refused to come to my table when I kindly called him, acting with total desrespect and disdain, showing a huge lack of profissionalism. I don't recommend the place to anyone.
As always worth a visit. All waiters can sing and offer an entertaining program. Food typical diner in Manhattan.
Great food, amazing service. Very talented staff, glad there’s a place to showcase such talent.
It’s a must see for breakfast. You have to eat so why not be entertained. I was really impressed by the waitstaff’s singing so I made sure to give to the scholarship fund.
Headed to Broadway for a show? Ellen's is a must for a pre or post show, show. Fantastic atmosphere, excellent service, and don't let that line scare you. It moves VERY quick. Never had a bad meal. Everything is wonderful.
I didn't do my research beforehand and was pleasantly surprised to see people singing on the countertops when I walked in! There are so many talented performers at Ellen's and it creates a feel good environment. The portion sizes are hearty and I really liked the omelette with tater tots. Everyone is very friendly and you'll smile a lot here!
So AHHHHMAZING! The food was good but nothing compared to the bonus show! I was told the staff sing to you but I didn't realize they SING to you! Favorite restaurant experience of all time! A must do on your NYC trip!
My second time here, but came straight in this time without waiting outside! It was very lively as before. The waiters warmly welcomed us as we seated. I ordered a penne pasta thinking the portion wouldn't be too much, but this was soon the opposite. The bread crumbs or garlic bits made it taste better where I had both crunchy and soft tastes. However, it was getting bit too salty when I was only into my third bite.
Let's face it, you're not going for the food, you're going for the experience.
The food isn't bad. It's just not the best.
The servers were amazing from the performers to the lads serving and clearing. The chefs work hard to get your food to you super quick!
The performers/waiter/ress are fabulous and put on a good show.
