The pharmacist Elena, is completely nasty. I’m currently relocating from New York to Jersey. So I used this pharmacy until I can transfer my health insurance to a different state. When I used them the first time they were able to fedex my medicine to my address in Jersey at MY expense. I called the following month and I asked them to overnight it, the representative agreed and confirmed my address. But I noticed I wasn’t charged for shipping, so I called to inquire why it wasn’t shipped. Elena got on the phone and she was so rude about explaining her process of when they decide to ship your medicine and when they don’t. Not once did she apologize for the LACK of communication on the pharmacy’s behalf. She did, however, apologize for me not being aware of their shipping process (which they failed to explain in the first place). She also asked in the most condescending way possible why I didn’t have a pharmacy in Jersey. She proceeded to say that it makes no sense for me to have a pharmacy in NYC, not fully understanding my situation of relocating. My experience with Elena was a rude, insensitive and imposing one. I wouldn’t recommend her as a pharmacist to anyone. It’s small size businesses like her who lack basic customer service skills, that make it easy to keep supporting big chain businesses like Walgreens

I love this drugstore, everything about it.
Everyone so helpful and polite.
How efficient they are, how clean, prices, they accept my insurance and also deliver my meds to my new home all the way in Jamaica Queens. They are the best.

The pharmacist Teresa is very very rude. She is not able to give an advise even how to take the medicine. She does not respect non English native speakers.

I read a few of these reviews and was shocked at people's perceptions of this business.
Elm Drugs is professional, focused, aware, polite and a small provider. They give personal attention to customers, are aware of national and state laws and provide pertinent advice when asked. I started going to them when a medical clinic suggested them (other choices were Rite-aid or CVS), and they helped me with following up with doctor perscriptions, refills, and since I had been in the vicinity of WTC on 9/11 and I thought my case might be related, directed me to the people managing those cases.
I have rarely had issues with individuals or companies because I understand there are laws, policies and procedures which often take actions OUT of the hands of individuals. People rarely treat me badly, simply because I take the time to understand what they can do, or not, and why, or not.

A friend recently went to this pharmacy in hope that this would be the one her doctors could send her prescriptions to in aid of her recovery of cancer as well as a debilitating spinal illness. The pharmacy manager- Elena-yelled at her and treated her viciously, refusing to help her, telling her she, nor Elm Drugs, serves cancer patients. I was shocked, then curious and went in there myself and asked a few questions. Everything my friend said is true about serving cancer patients- they do not make enough of a profit to do so and they also do hang rainbow flags everywhere to hide their true hateful and illicit nature. Interesting, this manager is in contact with a certain family that is being sued for "the opiod crisis". This manager believes she is in good standing with the family and will greatly benefit financially eventually by deceiving and making illegally obtained money from the ill. What is funny is that she is not in good standing with this family at all, quite the contrary. This pharmacy manager is doing terrible things to people through her little job, but will receive nothing for it except prison time, her other lowly activities will be counted against her in court, too. I would suggest looking for another pharmacy, this one will no longer be operating very soon.

The staff and pharmacists here are one of the most helpful and friendly people I have ever met. They seem to really care about their customers. They are fantastic with sending me my prescriptions right before I am getting ready to call them or it. Always ahead of game. The best pharmacy I have come across.

I’ve been using Elm Drugs for years and would NEVER even consider going elsewhere.

What matters to me is the accuracy of the prescription filling and the friendly staff that always greet me with a smile.

I have been going to this pharmacy for nearly a year. However, doodle events that happened this past week I will not be returning. I was in a major rush as it was nearly 7 PM and the pharmacy was about to close and I have my headphones on listening to music apparentlyThe workers were attempting to tell me to put on my mask, however I did not know that, the only thing I knew wasWhen I was nearly tackled to the ground and grievously injured buy some thug who look like he belongs on the corner selling crack and not doing security or whatever the hell he’s doing there. I was physically injured and emotionally traumatized and I’m going to sue the hell out of this place because that just isn’t how you treat a customer.

My COVID lockdown surprise! My medications and my husband's were due for refill but we had no way to get them. The Elm Pharmacist phoned and I explained my dilemma. 30 minutes later there was a buzzer downstairs. They delivered the meds all the way to Queens and never asked for the copayments due. This is the finest most sincere care ever!

Avoid this pharmacy at all costs!

Long time customer, Stage IV cancer survivor, type 1 diabetic, Colostomy.visited every month for more than 5 years, providing tens of thousands of dollars of business, considered the staff as friends and would send holiday cards and give tokens of my ongoing appreciation.last year, with no notice, I arrived to pick up my monthly medications and was.abruptly and rudely informed by the pharmacy manager, Elena, that they would no longer be accepting my business. This information was delivered so callously that my mother left the store in tears. I received no explanation as to why or assistance in finding a new location. I contacted the general manager who assured me he would investigate and get back to me-I never heard from him again.

Luckily, my physicians had begun receiving similar reports about their conduct from other patients and was prepared with an alternate: Healthsource Pharmacy on 34th Street. I have transfered all of my exact same monthly medications there and have been treated excellently and with compassion and respect-qualities that the Pharmacists at Elm proved themselves to be entirely lacking.

(The only redeeming factor are their exceptionally nice security/door men, who were always waiting with a smile and an encouraging word!)
