Elsa La Reina Del Chicharron reviews
14 Right here in this little food joint, I find the best chicharrones in NYC. It is served hot and fresh. I notice the chicharrones are cooked as soon as the first batch is about to be sold out. I had the chicharrones served with sweet potatoes. The only complain That I can make is that they didn't have the little salad. I like my chicharrones served with yucca, sweet potatoes and salad prepared with red anions, cilantro toss with lime juice and pinch of salt and fresh pepper️
Any way, the chicharrones is the big winner in this restaurant. I'd definitely spread the word out for this restaurant.
With regard to service, the staff is not friendly a little bit tough. I'd appreciate if they become a little more polite and courteous.
And finally, this place is more like a Deli with a mini table counter attach to the wall and with only 3 stools.there is no tables here.
On our trip to New Yorkmy girlfriend made me stop and get some chicharrones with batata and it was delicious. We ended up getting it again next day before coming back home.
Food is good but service.no bueno. Unfortunately the ladies that take your order seem to be tired or drunk. When you order they act annoyed. Nicer staff will bring more customers.
OH BOY! This is a must go! This use to be home for me, so whenever I am in NY I must go to the old neighborhood and get my grub on!
The best Chicharron in town. But employees look like they don't even want to be there. Nasty attitude.
Came by this place by accident because I took the wrong train. This is my second day in New York. But I'm happy I did. This place is Amazing! The chicken has so much complex flavors it's unbelievable. The staff is so nice
Horrible. This was one of the worst chicharrones I ever had. It was too dry and over cooked. I do not understand how others raved about it. I went there based on their reviews. Washington Heights is not a neighborhood I usually visit.
The best chicharron around only issue is the ladies that work need an attitude adjustment.
Ordered mofongo with chicharron for myself and chicharron with tostones for my mom. The chicharron is charged by weight and new batches are constantly coming out. The mofongo was made to order and took some time, but was excellent. The tostones were good, but came without any salt or salt packets. We were both happy with the quality of the food out of this hole in the wall. Will return.
Lunch here is great and very affordable. Come early though as they run out things quickly.
My grandparents & godmother have been coming here for DECADES (I believe she was at another location). It's THAT good lol, even got me hooked on it & I'm not a chicharron-person. Definitely recommend!
This location has the best food of all the Elsa locations but the worst service. That's why they lost the star because their food is five stars.
They make good mofongo here, however you can’t order through the phone you will have to go in person and wait for the food, instead of ordering in advance and picking up the food. I also wish they put shredded cheese on top of the mofongo like they do in Dominican Republic. Idk why a lot of mofongo spots in the heights don’t do that
Best Chicharon.make sure you get some fried sweet potatoes with it.it will be with so worth it!
